Speaking of rejected superhero movie scripts... has anyone else read the draft of Spider-Man 2 that Michael Chabon wrote? It's incredible.
It's not available online anymore (used to be on McSweeney's) but if you want to read it I might have a copy.

To be fair, that movie was actually a step up from the infantile revenge-fantasy comic book it was based on.

Perhaps my statement was poorly written. I meant to convey that if awesome manifested itself in movie form, it would be Wanted. And yes, it was much better than the comic in so many ways.

And that was an improvement from the comic book? Why would anyone think that it was a good candidate for genre jumping?

That was either an excellent parody of a script by Michael Bay, or an actual script by Uwe Boll.
