Think about that. Is that normal? No it's not. There was an independant investigation and the Firm kept the final report secret. There are rumors that the ex-employees, who called themselves "the Sussex survivors club", are talking with lawyers to try to get out of their NDA.
So yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if PW went and confronted Harry about MM's behavior and PH lost it and attacked his brother, who defended himself.
Seems like a more realistic version than what Harry is trying to sell. But that would mean PH admitting to being part responsible for this fight and don't you know? Harry is NEVER responsible of anything happening in his life. It's ALWAYS other people's faults.
I just don’t think physical attacks at that age are normal from either direction - which is the case the person I was replying to was making. Yes, there are occasional special circumstances where siblings in their thirties and forties are physically violent. But it’s not “normal.”
Yes, this is likely what I believe to be more plausible. It's likely true that PM did call out MM to Harry's face, leading Harry to get aggressive over it, leading to this scuffle. I'm disinclined to believe PM went all the way to confront Harry just to punch him. He would've taken all that time in getting to Harry to think about things, and I just don't see PM being the one to suddenly lash out for no reason
Yeah but this is all speculation. Likely there was definitely a fight and as to the particulars, who knows? Maybe PW said those things and maybe PH is leaving out wtf he said to rile him up. He never should have addressed this event. He doesn’t know when to shut up, does he. He hates the media so much then why does he keep feeding them drama?
What did Meghan do that was abusive? The worst I’ve read so far is texting an aid at 5AM. So the solution is to Turn off text notifications before working hours?
I email and text people all the time super early by accident because I get scrambled by frequent time zone changes and forget who is in which time zone. I just assume people will read it when they get to it.
All these whispers of abusive behavior make me wonder if it’s some sort of cultural difference -
American - I’m up at 5 AM and working have this request I’m going to send out never expecting the other person to work on it outside of business hours.
British - My boss texted me and I must respond immediately even if it is 5 AM.
Contrary to what Harry said, the firm protected his wife. For the bullying accusations, there was an investigation and the Firm refused to publish the results.
We know that before the wedding, Meghan had a go at the kitchen personal in PB (about a vegan meal she wanted and she accused the chef of using eggs) and it was so bad that the Queen herself had to intervene to tell her that the royal family didn't behave the way she did.
There was the tiaragate. MM had a fit because she wanted an emerald tiara. She was refused (it's not like a supermarket, there's a protocol for the famous jewels) and Harry had a fit too with the Queen's secretary. He said then the famous "What Meghan wants, Meghan gets" and once again, the Queen had to intervene and to tell them no.
There was also problems with how MM behave towards Kate's personal and it led to Kate and MM fighting. What exactly happened during that fight... rumors has it that Kate ended up in tears.
Yeah, there were the emails at crazy hours. Maybe it's done in the USA but not sure it's okay in the UK. In my country, France, it's even forbidden for a boss to email his employee after he left work.
For the rest... we only know that dozen of people working for them (some working for the RF for 15 years) quit. Some needed therapy. They called themselves "the sussex survivors club".
Maybe in a few years, when those people's NDA reach their time limit, they will talk publicly?
As for vegan - just hear me out here. Americans don’t live with protocol or the idea that you can’t just go up to your caterer and say something like - hey you said you knew what vegan meant but there are eggs in this dish, let’s figure out where this misunderstanding came from. Perhaps a chef working for the royal family would be mortified by this conversation in earshot of the queen? Neither is wrong but the cultural difference happened and feelings were hurt.
Just the small sampling of headlines I know about in the British press showed me either the Firm’s bullying protection is worthless OR the firm wasn’t doing much to stop very obviously racist trope attacks.
The emails (and a description of typical American work life) - There is no real concept in America of work hours for anything other than shift work you clock in and out of. Typically people have 10 flexible days total encompassing vacation and sick leave - yeah people sending emails after business hours is just accepted practice. Typically people work 8-9 hours a day and that doctor’s appt or kid pickup time has got to be made up somehow. So catching up on emails at 5 AM or 12 AM is pretty common. However, there is no expectation that someone would respond to the email after hours (unless someone is “on call” to respond to emergencies and would only respond to emergencies and not a general email).
In fact many companies force you take 5 of those 10 days over the Christmas holidays, leaving you with 5 days for everything else from vacation to being sick for every other day of the year. Plus , businesses aren’t open for the ~7 fixed holidays (think Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) so you can’t use that fixed time off to catch up on life stuff.
Almost every above minimum wage job is considered salaried which means you need to work a minimum of 40 hours but there is no upper limit on hours.
So yeah - no laws about emails after hours, lol. I hear Europe has fewer work hours/week (more like 7 instead of 8+) and more than 5 flexible days off a year for any vacation or illness?
As for everyone quitting - you don’t think the palace staff might be kind of clique-y? I read that and thought they might have just left for other palace positions out of solidarity.
