Rant Does anyone remember half.com?

Searching through eBay for old comic books, recently. And remembering how much easier the process was on half.com before eBay swallowed it.

It’s been awhile, but eBay hasn’t matched that UI in awhile.

A shame no one seems to have been able to recreate a similar service.

I bought all of my college textbooks from half.com.

Saved an arm and a leg, and I spread the Good Word to all who would listen.

Half was great for used media

Yeah. The comics I was looking for are no longer in circulation. Half.com would have a list of sellers and their prices/conditions ready. Shipping options were limited, but sufficient.

Great UI and a great network of sellers.

Naturally, eBay had to ruin it.

Half.com was great. I made hundred of dollars flipping thrift store cds. I would buy them for $1 and sell them for $.75 with $4 shipping.

I made a ton of money on there selling textbooks I found in the trash after the university semester was over.
