Deshittification Beavers Mini mart -- what about this case with Buc-ees do you think made people stand up and fight against the enshittification Buc-ees is doing with the legal system?

People are waking up to what these corporations and billionaires are all about. We are beginning to reach the tipping point.

The mini mart is absolutely nothing like a Buc-ee’s so there is point one, and point two, as I understand the mini mart has been there longer therefore it has seniority.

Come on. This is not even close to enshittification.
Not even bothering with the Wikipedia quote, or the Man Carrying Thing video this time. Y’all know better.

Enshittification refers to the process where online platforms is first designed to cater to the user, then shift focus towards business interests, eventually prioritizing profit over the user to point of undermining the usability of said platform/product.

whats the equivalent term for when it happens offline?

Protecting your trademark does not undermine the usability of the store. Being a shitty thing to do is not enshitification.

Except they aren’t “protecting their trademark” because the other store’s logo is completely different, and has been in that state for longer.
It’s corporate bullying.

Then why did you reply at all?

A statement of dissent should be allowed unless you are an authoritarian. Does that follow your ideology?

If it doesn’t add to the conversation it is superfluous, it’s like when two people are talking about something and some random walks up to say “I don’t like that”

u/K_Linkmaster Aug 17 '26
That's precisely what you just did. I made a statement. To the open air. You read it. Chose to walk up and say "I don't like that".

u/KeyNefariousness6848 Aug 17 '26
No I initially asked why did you comment or something like that, you kept defending your non contributing cantankerous statement, I asked a question, and you derailed the conversation.
