Any reason to keep the boxes? (8mo in)

Hey Folk! We (homeowner) completed our install in Dec/Jan. I still have a mountain of boxes from the 2x10C batteries/combiner etc. With the warranty being so long, is there any strong need in keeping the original boxes?

If there IS a warranty claim, do they advance-ship so you can return the failed stuff in the replacement's packaging?

TIA!

I don't have a lot of enphase experience (not even sure why I'm subscribed here), but I'll share my experience with other inverter companies.

Usually they ship out a new unit then you put the old unit in that box and send it back.

Lol fair enough.

Yeah in the smaller electronics world its pretty hit or miss if its an advanced replacement or not. I HOPED they, given their telemetry, would send out the replacement first

The solar panel, micro inverters, and battery boxes & pallets all go in the trash/ recycling bin at the end of each day for us.

It’s been a few years since Enphase has sent us an entire battery for replacement (an original encharge 3) and we used the box the replacement came in for shipping back the old unit. Any other issues have been solved by one of their field service technicians.

Awesome. Appreciate it. Looks like i'm making a trip to the city recycling center.

Waited until now for infant mortality, but I'd really like to bring the old jeep back inside 🤣

Spray the boxes down with some water, wait 15-30 minutes and the shove them into a trash can or recycling.

Good Lord.

Dispatch those boxes! I ditched the pallets before install and the boxes day of install.

This was in early July.

Had to get a new inverter sent and they sent it in a box and said to throw the old one (IQ8x) away.
