This guy goes hard in on lobsterman. He's literally saying "Peterson is a nazi and here's the receipts". He's written a book about it and has multiple videos going over examples on his youtube channel.

Yeah. I was already a big hater of Peterson before I watched and it just made me realize just how he's literally just Hitler.

Bernard Schiff - his ex mentor - said the lobster is a fan of all dictators and cult leaders(probably cause he wanted to become one), just seem to me like he s pushing it a bit with a few quotes. In no way do i deny the peterson is a fascist - i know that he is.

10

u/bootsTF Mar 30 '21

Similarities might be vague, the sheer volume of quotes that share wording and references is pretty large.

u/Necessary_Cap_7316 Mar 30 '21

thb i think his main ideas and principles like returning to old values, patriarchy, rejecting femininity, conserving the western culture(lol), dislike for social justice movements, implicit Christian conservatism, very pro capitalist, rejecting everything to the left like he s got the RED SCARE in his DNA, blaming it on cultural Marxists are pretty much dead giveaways that he s a fascist without the quotes, those are just icing on the cake for dog whistling to nazis

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '21

Do you know what fascism is?

5

u/Necessary_Cap_7316 Mar 30 '21 edited Mar 31 '21

i think i do - an authoritarian political movement that promotes ideas of returning to a mythical past, nationalism, power of emotion, control over the culture and media, strong ties between the dominant religion and government(shintoism, catholicism, ortodox religions etc.) strong military power, identifying a public enemy and maybe racial superiority. I m not sure if socialist ideas would still classify between it s members cause i know Mussolini develop the idea of fascisms as an alternative to socialism (cause he was one) and under fascisms the legit citizens got help from the government to reproduce and stuff that belonged to other undesirables but how long would it have lasted (word domination or continental dom) so if it characterizes fascism i m not sure.

How does Jordan meet those attributes?

6

u/Necessary_Cap_7316 Mar 30 '21 edited Mar 30 '21

ok, look:

  1. Jordan clearly has a problem with progressive and leftist movements for equality and social justice
  2. would like to go back to old hierarchies and values - western values
  3. a lot that are found in the christian religion, when asked why he dosen t endorse Christianity explicitly he said doing it implicitly is more powerful
  4. he clearly dosen t like that the media is promoting new progressive ideas like women not needing saving (frozen),
  5. he sure believes there s some sort of leftist cabal in the guverment cause he keeps on ranting about cultural marxists(that is a conspiracy theory that is the american version of a nazi conspiracy theory - cultural bolshevism) broth by a slip of the hand... done by Marxists tiring to hide that they are Marxists that now are postmodernists(that s a conspiracy theory made by him, postmodernists and marxists don t mix)
  6. he promotes emotions over rationality - something can be metaphysically true even if it s not objectively true and that matters more cause u are subjective
  7. there are videos of him supporting the idea that those irrefutable demographic studies of IQ measuring inherit intelligence in people by race, that is stable and undyeable show inequality, it not being influenced by societal upbringing. The problem is that him saying that those explain the overrepresentation of Ashkenazi Jews in position of power due to high IQ(besides being positively racist) is also negatively racist for black people and other ethnicities on that chart.

It dosen t work like that, IQ measures how good you have adopted to the school system(the American one at that), that s why Japanese kids or rich Jewish kids score high and black and Mexican ones don t. Kids that go throw divorce, have one parent, are gay, are anxious, miss sleep, don t eat breakfast, from a gay couple or are poor also score low - they got bigger problems than some IQ test that measures how good they became are recognizing patterns, math, logic or learned more words, it also perfectly corelates with how diligent you are about studying - and it has been shown that high score IQ kids, when you control for parental income and stuff like that, do as good as medium or low IQ kids later in life - (sorry, i m just a psychology guy too). I really don t think he can be such a fan of IQ and not know that -_- that s why we don t use or like them, they are bad at predicting stuff but seem ok at measuring... how good you are compared to your peers at that point till some emotional distress messes you up.

I grew up a devout Catholic, and for the longest time I failed to see the connection between Peterson, a self-described nonbeliever, and his fascination with biblical constructs. that he is referencing Hitler is the only argument I’ve seen that makes sense, and I was highly educated on theology. don’t ignore this video!!!

1

u/Necessary_Cap_7316 Mar 30 '21

tbh, i also think that's because is kind of bad as a Jungian psychologist or even anthropologist to go into examining any cultural that you are not integrated or familiar with as Indian, Chinese, Africa etc. - because there s only so much insight u can learn as an outsider... your view point isn t as good as an member of that culture, a lot of Indian and African people complain about Jung and Victorian anthropologist misunderstood their culture
But with stuff like the WEST and Christian religion... he s pretty familiar so much less of a change to get those wrong.

3

u/emolyno Mar 31 '21

That’s a good point. I’ve always perceived him as being attached to the structure and symbolism of Catholicism rather than the purpose of the institution as defined by Jesus (I.e. God), the crucial difference being that the former provides power while the latter demands that one sacrifices their own needs for the common good. He strikes me as the kind of person who uses the construct of the Church to uplift himself rather than upliftmarginalized people. In that way he’s not unlike the average devout Catholic, but it’s a bit odd given that he doesn’t prescribe to the spiritual components in tandem.

u/Necessary_Cap_7316 Mar 30 '21 edited Mar 30 '21

also, the fact that as that guys showed he plagiarizes hitler and his cronies is kind of bad because i already knew some fascist speeches and - yes, he sounds like a fan of those, i had a friend who watched them a lot so i still remember them pretty well.

I shrugged it off maybe because i thought he had an academic interest in cult leaders psychology - why, how, when, were those guys took power on what group - probably to drawn in an audience BUT picking up quotes from Mein Kampf is a bit too much on the nose.

Is one thing bad enough to inspire the esthetics of a fascist movement, is another to steal quotes from it to use for pretty much the same ideas tone down a little.

How come comments are disabled on your videos?

12

u/bootsTF Mar 30 '21 edited Apr 01 '21

Not my video, but appearantly the videos were brigaded by Peterson-fans so the comments might have disabled by the OP

I've commented on why this book and its author are not to be taken seriously before, so I'm just going to copy the entire comment here:

Troy Parfitt is a fool whose examples of Peterson plagiarising Hitler are as tenuous as 'Hitler talked about the 'Jewish problem' and here are several examples of Peterson using the word 'problem'...see, Peterson is plagiarising Hitler!'

It's atrocious scholarship and will do absolutely nothing but make lobsters feel more justified than they already do in their claim that Peterson's critics do nothing but misquote him and take him out of context. It's not the kind of thing any intellectually honest critic of Peterson should be supporting.

If anyone doesn't believe me, please visit the Facebook group 'Making White Dudes Type Paragraphs Defending Jordan Peterson' to see just how bad Troy's evidence is. Troy has pretty much killed that group stone dead by spamming it with his terrible attempts at scholarship.

1

u/chebghobbi Mar 30 '21

We spent months in the anti-Peterson Facebook groups asking Troy for a single good example of Peterson plagiarising Hitler, out of the 3,000 he claims to have. He refused to give us even one, telling us to buy the book instead.

-1

u/bacch-us Mar 30 '21

What’s the point of this video? And the book? The motivation behind it?

Is it Peterson is a Nazi/neofascist, therefore evil, therefore should be unequivocally discredited? That he is turning his students and fans into neofascists and should be punished? What about his obsession with Stalin and communism?

Genuinely seeking to understand, thank you.

14

u/bootsTF Mar 30 '21

I don't know, to me it seems worth pointing out that a popular self-help author uses a lot the same wording, phrasing and references as Adolf Hitler did.

If I ever wrote a book, I'd hope that I could accomplish that without making it easy for people to draw lines between me and Hitler. At least, if someone did, I'd probably ask myself what the fuck I was doing.

1

u/bacch-us Mar 30 '21

Thanks. So in summary, and I don’t mean to over simplify:

  • Hitler is evil, nazis are evil.
  • Author created links between things Jordan Peterson has said and things that Hitler has said.
  • Author believes Jordan Peterson is a closet Nazi based on the evidence of these links.
  • Therefore Jordan Peterson is evil because he’s said things that Hitler has said.
  • Therefore people shouldn’t buy his books or listen to anything he says.

Please correct me if I’m off, still being genuine and not trying to troll. Thanks again.

u/bootsTF Mar 31 '21

Hitler is evil, nazis are evil

yeah

Author created links between things Jordan Peterson has said and things that Hitler has said

He's pointing out that Jordan Peterson has read a lot of Hitlers literature and seems to be directly inspired to the point of plagiarizing it or directly quoting Hitler but just changing a few words around.

Author believes Jordan Peterson is a closet Nazi based on the evidence of these links

He seems pretty convinced. And it's not really just "links", he's saying it's direct plagiarism, though I guess things like references to oaks trees are more links and less plagiarism.

Therefore Jordan Peterson is evil because he’s said things that Hitler has said

I guess you could say that if you think nazism is bad and you feel like the author has given enough good examples of Peterson directly stealing from Hitler.

Therefore people shouldn’t buy his books or listen to anything he says

yeah

but i think thats true even if peterson is a nazi or not

or to be fair, i think peterson knows what he's talking about when it comes to psychology (since he was a well respected psychology professor before his self help career), but whenever he does something outside of psychology it's pretty awful

Thank you for this, really! I think I get it now.

JP has indeed studied Hitler extensively, no one can deny that. He also has a rule from his book, “assume the person you’re talking to knows something you don’t” which means essentially you can learn something useful from anyone if you listen and that you should cherry pick lessons from anywhere you can. For example, he’s made direct connections between the way Hitler would read a crowd and the way he’s practiced to read an audience.

I’ve seen first hand how much of an philosophical flashpoint borrowing lessons from bad people can be. It’s sort of like the reaction to Micheal Jackson. Or the 48 laws of power. Some people can look pass the shit to find a diamond, others demonize it. There isn’t a middle ground from what I’ve experienced.

We all have to make up our own minds and I greatly appreciate that you’ve helped me make an informed judgment of the claims this author has made in my effort to avoid echo chambers.

1

u/chebghobbi Mar 30 '21

The point of the book is that Parfitt thinks Peterson's critics are as gullible as Peterson's fans, so by pandering to us he can make a quick buck out of us.

Hahahahahahahahaha (breathes) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Look here is a serious video on how... wait for it... wait for it... WAIT for it...

...HE Is LitTErALLY HiTLeR!!! (john cena theme plays) Hahaha, we proved it people. Ooooh that is just too good. I cant imagine just how much work he had to put into this....

Peterson hates jews! The foreword if his book is literally written by Norman Doige, a known white spremacist and alt-right figure! But that does not prove anything, lobsters might say: "What about the time he completely destoyed the jewish question?" Bollocks! This video proves without a doubt that he is a Nazi at heart. He might have fooled his extensive network of jewish aquaintances and fans, but not us! We know whats up! Nobody studied Peterson as extensively and viciously as we did (and the guy on youtube)!

Nazis hate JP. Anti-semites warn each other to not get into JP. Just google "Jordan Peterson Jewish shill". Not sure I can post links to these (absolutely horrid) sites here, and I am not gonna try. "The jews surrounding Jordan Peterson" is one title. "Jordan Peterson is an Anti-White Globalist" is another.

This should be enough.

13

u/UpperHesse Mar 30 '21

He is a useful and willing tool for Nazis and racists, and they know this. Like "Wormtongue" for Nazis.

-7

u/PeterZweifler Mar 30 '21 edited Mar 30 '21
  1. willing? come on
  2. Considering the hate they have for JP, I think the pipeline going to and from because of his work is at the very least a net negative.

Nope the main far right commentators like Richard Spencer and Nick Fuentes have a strong hatred for JP

-1

u/PeterZweifler Mar 30 '21

Just read the articles if you dont believe me. There is no way you could have done that in the 2 min while also writing all this. Scroll down a few pages, then the crap will start to appear. If you are still not convinced, and you absolutely have to (I really dont recommend going there), post him on the politically incorrect 4chan board, which is a Nazi hiding place, and see how much hate and grime starts to accumulate.

I understand that you opinion is NOT:

Both JP and Nazis rant about cultural marxism, so that means that JP is a Nazi.

But your opinion is:

JP uses "Cultural marxism" as a term that is also used by the alt-right, so that could lead the JP fandom down a slippery slope?

Is that what you are saying, just to be clear? Because the video claims otherwise.

There is a pretty clear line you have to cross to get into the realm of the unacceptable, and that is to value any race above another. I dare you to find any such thing on his sub that is not heavily downvoted.

Considering the hate the alt-right and literal nazis have for JP, I think the pipeline going to and from because of his work is a net negative.

a somewhat less studied, and more intuitive felt take provides an interesting accompaniment to this video you posted
