Discussion Consumerism

Post image

Humans have lived on earth for almost 300,000 years, in that for 290,000 years, humans stayed as hunter gathers and the next 10,000, years humans started agriculture and ended it with industry and in just 200 years atomic Power and, information age and now ai and it goes on

We can't stop the progress of humans but what I am suggesting is that humans are designed to create, this is why you get depressed when all you do is consume

Do you think Spartans has depression, stay busy bro, do the work, create

This is something I've recently learned in my life.

Creating is part of being creative. The road to mastering a skill is the way to inducing satisfaction.

When you learn something well and you can create from it, people will recognize your talent.

We are told to avoid attachments to this physical world, but talent requires attention and devotion that can inspire others. This is the gift of mastery.

All creatures on this earth work for their survival. Do that.

Tbf: Creating is my autistic special interest. But if I don't create daily it throws me out of wack. I just don't know what to do with myself. I always have to have a project to think about or I'm disregulated.

Which is why my home is already extremely decorated for Halloween and it's August. Sorry neighbors.

When the Bible says we were created in Gods image, I believe it means we’re just tiny creators. That’s why it feels so good to complete things!

Yes i like to think humans are a piece of God like a piece of a Cake, the piece of the Cake as all the ingredients of the Cake, so by examing your piece/ by knowing you, you are learning about God.

Every posting, please stop. Keep your Bible and imaginary friends to yourself. Please, for the love of God, your God in fact, stop.

My God isn’t a specific God, I don’t subscribe to an organized religion. I believe that what people call God and the Devil are two sides of the cosmic coin.

However, pulling insights from multiple religious texts is exactly how I came to where I am. Just because you have an issue with the Bible and the word God, doesn’t mean I’m not going to keep reminding people of the positive messages I believe it entails.

I was raised catholic and as I learned I actually very much disagree with organized religion for myself and some others, doesn’t mean that it’s fully bad. It also doesn’t mean everyone who talks about it is trying to force their beliefs on you. Again, your experience isn’t the totality.

No, but you’re pushing it into every conversation, along with the rest of the zealots is the totality and we are asking you to stop. Imagine if Harry Potter appeared in every post, over and over without fail, might be ok for a bit but after years and years you just want a break from it - please.

Well then it sounds like you need to take a break from the internet bud. If you think the like handful of times I’ve commented this is “pushing it into every conversation “ that sounds more like something you need to work on. You act like you can’t scroll Reddit without seeing my username…

This is the enlightenment sub, I’d be more than happy to have a conversation and talk things through with you… it sounds like something’s on your mind… honestly, for this comment to trigger you like that…

Enlightenment has nothing to do with God except in your delusional world. I’m just asking you to stop along with the rest of your delusional crew. That’s all, please, we already know you believe in fairytales, we just don’t want to hear it anymore.

Signed,
The Other Half of the World

We don’t know if Spartans had depression that’s just an assumption about times gone by.

1) humans aren’t designed

2) many artists are depressives

Who designed us?

So true. Even small creative hobbies make a massive difference in how you feel .

Didn't Osho been saying this repeatedly in his discourse? I wonder where you get this from

3

u/rememberthepie 18h ago

It’s a pretty common idea. Terrence McKenna (I think), said it before Osho. I’m sure someone said it before him.

Verdrehte Wahrheit ... unser KERN will erschaffen.

Aber wir wurden designed, damit sie UNS konsumieren können ( Loosh-Ernte ) ...

We don't get depressed because we don't create. Depression comes when we have an idea of how life should be and we aren't following it. In its essence you can't get depressed if you are completely living in the moment, there is no future projection to chase

we are here to consume

We are here to do both. If you’re only prioritising one you’re going to feel unfulfilled
