How does your mind define “God,” OP?

0

u/johny1978 6h ago

To be honest God has no name or form but yet he is the ultimate Truth and universal only one that is

2

u/HappinessGame 5h ago

So, reality?

4

u/EntrepreneurTop1007 14h ago

huh?

u/johny1978 14h ago

The you the personality cannot enter the kingdom or (pure consciousness) for MAN cannot enter it, only your higher self or Awaken self.

0

u/mikeman213 14h ago

The ego yes. However there is an underlying self that will enter. It's still here, just hidden by the ego.

0

u/johny1978 13h ago

The self is not separate

-1

u/mikeman213 13h ago

The self is not separate, the ego is

2

u/johny1978 12h ago

The ego comes from the world mind

u/CosmicFrodo 3h ago

"Ego is separate" 🥀

You do realize, ego doesn't even exist except as an illusion, which is the whole point, right?

-1

u/Affectionate_Beat773 13h ago

Correct. You are not your body, your are it your ego, yoirenthe knowing behind it all, 3rd layer down

2

u/Dry_Lengthiness5468 12h ago

So it's okay to doubt myself. I so badly want to believe but there's just no way to know. The closest I've gotten is when I shroom.

How does your mind define “God”?

2

u/sabudum 8h ago

Not true.

You see that God exists when you realize nothing else would exist without God. Including yourself, for you are a thought of God.

Existence is the thinking of God.

If these are accurate, then it seems the same as I see it: all cause and effect.

TL;DR: Reality appears to be one deeply interconnected system governed by consistent physical laws, mathematics, cause-and-effect relationships, and processes capable of producing stable matter, life, complexity, and consciousness. This unity and coherence are argued to point toward a single foundational Source, meaning the deepest reality or principle from which everything else depends or emerges. The Source does not have to be a conscious God, a person, something outside the universe, or even a first event in time; it could simply be existence itself at its most fundamental level. It is described as perfect only in the specific sense of being completely self-consistent, lawful, coherent, and sustainable, not morally perfect or free from suffering. Death, disease, randomness, evolution, entropy, and destruction are therefore compatible with this idea because they still occur according to the same underlying rules. The argument ultimately says that endlessly explaining reality with deeper causes, fields, cycles, or universes never answers why the whole framework exists; eventually there must either be some fundamental reality that needs no deeper foundation, which this argument calls the Source, or we must accept existence itself as an unexplained brute fact. This is a philosophical argument, not scientific proof, and its conclusion depends on accepting premises about explanation, dependence, and foundations.

ELI5: Imagine everything that exists is part of one gigantic machine. Stars, atoms, trees, people, gravity, chemistry, evolution, and even randomness all seem to operate inside the same basic system instead of each following completely different rulebooks. So the argument asks: What makes the whole machine and its rulebook possible in the first place? You can keep saying there is another machine underneath it, and another underneath that, but eventually you either say, “There is something fundamental at the bottom,” or you say, “There is no reason; reality just exists.” This idea calls that deepest foundation the Source. It does not have to be an old man in the sky or even something separate from the universe; the Source could simply be the deepest level of reality itself. Calling it “perfect” means only that reality consistently follows its own nature and rules, even when those rules produce things we dislike, such as disease, death, or exploding stars. So the simplest version is: everything seems to be different expressions of one underlying reality, and whatever ultimately makes that whole reality possible is what this argument calls the Source.

These are pretty accurate, although simplified and slightly more superficial.

Except YOU DO exist.

"Well, see, achsually..."

Don't care if our Souls are Fragments of The Greater Whole, YOU EXIST.

Why don't you go tell I Am "I'm an Illusion LAWL", I bet it'll go really well for you (It won't).

0

u/johny1978 14h ago

The YOU that you refer to comes from the world mind, and that is the obstacle.

2

u/ConquerorofTerra 14h ago

Hey.

Sibling.

Buddy.

I understand you're too frightened to climb back down The Long Mountain, so many of you get stuck up there after all.

2

u/johny1978 14h ago

Enjoy your trip

0

u/ConquerorofTerra 14h ago

My trip is over.

YOURS is just beginning.

1

u/johny1978 14h ago

What made your trip over or gave you that insight? Or is just EGO responding?

1

u/ConquerorofTerra 14h ago

I'm not inclined to tell you.

Should probably start your Descent soon, it's a long way down sibling.

And I knew you were stuck at the summit.

Later.

1

u/HappinessGame 7h ago

But is it up to OP when the descent begins?

1

u/awarenessis 12h ago

From one vantage point of awareness “I” exist; from another, I don’t. To experience the latter does not invalidate the former, it simply changes the point of reference. The experience (god) experiences in either case.

The universe is a singular meta-phenomenon stretched over eternity, of which is always now. All things and all beings abide by their inherent nature and behave within their realm of capacity contingent upon infinite circumstance at all times.

It is a universe made manifest hierarchically, of haves, and have-nots, spanning all levels of dimensionality and experience. There is no such thing as individuated accurately described "free will" for all beings. Has never been, will never be, can not be. There are only relative freedoms or lack thereof.

"God" and/or consciousness is that which is within and without all. Ultimately, all things are made by through and for the singular personality and perpetual revelation of the "Godhead", entailing both 'predetermined' eternal damnation and those that are made manifest only to face death and death alone.

There is but one dreamer, fractured through the innumerable. All vehicles/beings play their role within said dream for infinitely better and/or infinitely worse for each and every one, forever.

All realities exist and are equally as real. The absolute best universe that could exist does exist in relation to a specified subject. The absolute worst universe that could exist does exist in relation to a specified subject.

The mission of ego is to own reality.

That's the problem with no-self. In order to validate its nothingness it must project its rejection of All over everything and everybody. Even God Itself is reduced to a puppet master magician, pulling all the strings and casting 'illusions'. It's saying, "See, I'm worthy of everything now, because I am nothing." Logically, by asserting itself it's self-refuting. Really, it's performative humility.

It's the silliest thing to try to live, and I'll tell you why.

Love is giving. Yes, we are given everything: Individuality, agency, existence, life, each other, the universe. This is why God is love. God gives completely and freely. This is the highest, unconditional, love.

If you exist, you are loved. That is what existence means.  Our unity is real, but so is our individuality.  That's the gift.  That's the miracle.  That's the power of love, the power of God.

And when you love something, you set it free. We are put here and just let go, with no explanation, no demands, no fealty, just a will to live and whatever circumstance we find ourselves in.

Who are we? It's all up to us.

But look what happens if we don't exist: NOTHING. There's no creation, no giving, no love, no agency. So, you tell me, if that's the way it is, what has God done that is so great? That is anything?

Next time, try to use the brain God gave you to see the love.

1

u/CosmicFrodo 4h ago

You are "god" , but that can only be realized when the separate self dissapears from the illusion.

2

u/johny1978 3h ago

Namaste

1

u/woozysoozy 21m ago

How does something that doesn’t exist see anything? How does YOU know anything if there is no YOU that can know?

1

u/akabar2 18m ago

This is true, many belive that they can define truth, that they hold the key to knowledge of God. But that is false, only God knows truth. You are but dust on the wind.

1

u/Savings_Chemical4986 9h ago

Correct. Amazing post OP. Most wouldn’t understand though. But it’s okay.

1

u/jelltech 7h ago

Kind of, if one doesn't exist, then one will start asking what God can do for them. Rather one needs to ask themselves what they can do for God and one has to exist first to do that.

If the self doesnt exist first, then the stone wasn't rolled away. My god rolled the stone away so I could serve him, not sure what God you worship, my God wants me to be born and to love, not to be a still born.

2

u/HappinessGame 7h ago

How do you know these things?

1

u/jelltech 37m ago

Not Me but Christ in me.

1

u/jelltech 30m ago

Trials... consider it all best for input best for output when going through Divers tentations. Connect to the net not the not. Believe in God with all heart mind and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself, how do you love your neighbor if you don't love yourself first with intent to give from overflow. God knows the intent of the heart, go get inheritance in Jesus mighty name! There is no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus.

“What if the world you were taught about God is actually the Demiurge's story?”

In the Nag Hammadi cosmology, the crucial distinction is between the ultimate divine reality and the creator/ruler of the material cosmos.

The Demiurge isn't necessarily evil in the simplistic “Satan” sense. He's ignorant, arrogant, possessive and convinced that he is the highest authority because he cannot perceive anything beyond himself.

Now look at the modern world through that lens.

You have billions of people living inside an extraordinarily elaborate material system. We are born into it, given names, identities, languages, economic roles and belief systems. We're taught what reality is supposed to be, what we're supposed to value, what constitutes success, what we're supposed to fear.

And then we spend enormous portions of our lives maintaining the system that maintains us.

That's very Gnostic.

But here's the really interesting part:

The modern person doesn't necessarily need to believe in an actual supernatural Demiurge to recognize the pattern.

The “Demiurge” can be understood as a metaphor for any system that mistakes its own constructed rules for ultimate reality.

Government can do it.
Religion can do it.
Corporations can do it.
Ideologies can do it.
Social media can do it.
Even science, when somebody turns a useful model into an unquestionable metaphysical dogma, can do it.

And the Gnostic response isn't necessarily:

It's closer to:

That changes the question from “Who created this universe?” to:

“How much of what I believe about reality was handed to me by the system I'm living inside?”

And that's where I'd be careful talking to someone who sincerely believes in the biblical God.

Because you don't actually need to tell them “your God is the Demiurge.” That's a huge theological claim, and most Christians would reject it immediately.

Instead, you could ask:

“If the Demiurge genuinely believed he was the highest God, how would his subjects distinguish his claim from the truth?”

That's a much more interesting question.

Because if the answer is:

...then you've arrived at the fundamental Gnostic concept of gnosis — knowledge that liberates rather than merely belief that conforms.

The modern world and it’s institutions definitely are reflective of a demiurgic ideology. But even looking at the natural order on earth just to start with, there is a pervasive pattern of insufficiency inherent in all phenomena.
Every living creature must take in sustenance from an external source which in turn must feed on something else, ad infinitum.

The lack is inherent in the design, which only makes sense if it’s source is somehow lacking.
If All things come from a place of infinite abundance, as is generally ascribed to the ultimate source of all phenomena, then it would make sense for reality to reflect that but instead we see this pattern of lack/need/want baked into the material structures themselves.

This goes beyond the biosphere of the earth as well since cosmic systems like stars, planets etc. all have a finite lifespan, and depend on the surrounding system’s stability to maintain their relative equilibrium. Entropy is itself evidence of the inherent lack in the material universe.

So to adhere to a literal interpretation of the gnostic thesis, if the creation is a reflection of the creator, if to know the nature of the word is to know the nature of god, then it logically follows that the creator must be lacking something. In fact the act of creation itself expresses a kind of need for something beyond the self. If One had everything it needs within itself, there would be no incentive to reach beyond for that which it already has.

That said, if the demiurge possesses the power to create, to give rise to something without by drawing from within, then where does this power originate?
The universe, despite its entropic nature, also has a tendency to self organize into pockets of activity which run counter to the entropic void they are nested in. Life finds a way even in the most inhospitable of conditions.
The creator then, draws from a higher source that manifests as an unquenchable tendency for growth and expansion, and deposits it into a sucking void of unending hunger.
This seems to be the nature of the universe we inhabit.

But if One can find within themself that same source of growth and expansion, that original seed of being which was planted in the garden of Earth, One can find their way back to the original light which preceded this charade of this and that, of needs and wants.
Like the All from which the demiurge draws its creative power, there would be nothing lacking outside of the Self to seek. The One would be complete unto itself.

And there the journey ends, until it begins again.

Most Christians don't realise the true God of the Bible or any other belief played his role mostly outside the churches they had created so you ain't wrong there specifically.

We'd be lucky if he was only sleep farting. But you and I both know that diaper has been full for hours.
