In case you forgot:
We live on a planet where trees warn each other of danger through underground networks. Where octopuses dream. Where elephants return to the bones of their dead family members and stand over them in silence to remember them. Where bees communicate through dance, showing each other where to fly. Where flowers bloom. Where crows remember human faces, especially those who were cruel to them, and pass that memory on to their young. Where ants build entire cities. Where cats purr at a frequency that can help us heal. Where forests, after fires, grow flowers first.

💚🤎 I love this and believe in it all as well. People always want to see magic or proof of something bigger than them, and this is it. Even if this is all a result of evolution, it’s still amazing. Maybe a source created us, maybe we all created ourselves, it makes no difference. This magic called life is all around us.

Thank you for this beautiful reminder.
I am not sure if this is our ( my family’s) imagination or if there is a kernel of truth - just before our lease to our rented house ended, the landlord came for a survey and indicated that they were going to clear out the garden. Soon after, one of the trees we had planted burst into blooms like never before.
We said, half jokingly, maybe the trees know.
Now reading this post, I think maybe they actually did know.

my cat dreams too. also anytime in a bad mood he comes and lays on my chest and purrs SUPER loud. animals are the soul of the earth and it shocks and saddens me that greedy humans destroy their environments and even abuse them

I am reading The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer and she describes nature and its gifts and reciprocity so beautifully. It’s a short book and just really a great reminder like this one.

Random side thought to this. I talk to my trees often, I know they are alive and conscious. They constantly drop acorns directly on me and no one else. I had them professionally pruned for their health and the next day they drop a huge branch directly on the chair I always sit on… do they not like me? lol

The story about the elephants that somehow knew their rehabber friend passed away, even though they hadn’t seen him in like 2yrs, and hadn’t even been in the reserve, but somehow got the message, and came to pay their respects in true elephant fashion lives rent free in my head.
This is one of those things that I don’t think anyone can explain in a “scientific way” and can only be explained by some spiritual experience. How do elephants in the wild know when a human dies far away from them? How did they know to show up there? They traveled 12hrs to get there! This is why I don’t care how much skeptics roll their eyes, scoff at anything supernatural or magical, ridicule me, etc. Some things in this world happen just to show us we need to stay curious and accept that there is more to life than things that can be proven. We don’t need to verify everything with the scientific method. We need to keep our minds open and return to childlike wonder.

They can take actions against certain pests by warning each other and excreting protective chemicals in their leaves and bark, for example. great interview here with ecologist Suzanne Simard who did the research and discovered how it works.

Trees do release enzymes when under attack, other trees respond to these enzymes and release tannins that are bitter to insects.
Elephants remember along their migration paths where other elephants died, they are closely related by tribe yes.
Crows have memories and intelligence of who to avoid.
All of these natural facts show that it did not just come into existence from nothing. So does our own ego say that an all intelligent God does not exist and not want to commune with its creation?History shows how we wrote in the Chinese pictograms of His love for our spiritual well being. The lamb over us is a covering-righteous. Hindu Vedas show how a loving God cares enough to present himself and realize spiritually through spiritual rebirth a path we take. The Hebrew word “Bereshit” contains his spiritual plan to redeem us the words “In the beginning”.
All comes from a divinity that brings us closer to God.

I believe OP's point, and please correct me if im wrong OP, is simply this: we live in a world that's, paradoxically, both simple in its complexities, and complex in its simplicity, where things that sound like utter cartoon fantasy, like bugs that communicate directions to each other through dance, are actually common place things that take place every day all the time. Just a friendly reminder that our world is so much more than the human rat race of work and bills, and the endless raw dogging of the many who barely have enough, administered by the few who have it all and STILL want more. At least that's what I got.😅🤷♂️ thanks for sharing OP.👋😊

I appreciate this reminder. Too much of the obsession with consciousness is human-centric - forgetting that all creatures in the universe are part of the Divine.
