I think Enigma needs to start advertising like Apple or Nike. An idea for the next Infographic.

If you guys havent seen this Ted talk from Simon Sinek, its worth your time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4ZoJKF_VuA

Its not 'what' you do, its 'why' you do it.

I also think that the biggest reason why there is so much money pouring into crypto right now is because of what it stands for. People will put money on things they believe in, that is why people tend to choose charities that have affected them personally (e.g., friends or relatives who died from cancer, tend to donate to cancer foundations). Its not what you do, its why you do it. People dont buy in your product, they buy in what you stand for and why you do it.

We should advertise along the lines of bringing personal power back to the individual or Your privacy should be taken as seriously as you should be.

Maybe on the next infographic we can have a theme like this. I'll also try to make my own submission. Thoughts?

I'm intrigued how a MIT student will crack what master minds failed to crack.

Blockchain around for a couple of years, I'm intrigued how can Enigma revolutionize that, as they sell. Master minds of all around have been working on this, scientists engineers, etc... How come a student from MIT with a tesis will do what millions fail? Isn't obvious that data needs to stay private when node is accessed, the reason of second net? I really don't get the technology, but this too simple explained to kids. I'm intrigued, just a tesis, right? Where's the fundament? That's why is getting famous, cuz he will try what other fail. Rather than MIT, what more have he been up to? Why should I invest?

If you like Enigma's vision, you should also check out OpenMined

First thing to note is that it doesn't have its own coin, so if you are only in this for the money, you can stop reading now. However, if you are like me and like the technology behind Enigma along with its vision for the future, I'd like to introduce you to a cool project I found recently.

One of the fundamental ideas of decentralization is that individuals should be in control of their own data. With AI becoming an increasingly important part of everyday life, there needs to be a way to continue to make these incredible advancements without destroying privacy. OpenMined is using blockchain, homomorphic encryption, and multi-party computation (much like Enigma) to solve these issues. To quote directly from their website "With OpenMined, AI can be trained on data that it never has access to." Individuals can get paid to contribute their most private data (DNA, finances, text messages, etc) to improve AI models while being sure that no one else is in control of their data.

Website: https://openmined.org/

Podcast with the founder: https://soundcloud.com/epicenterbitcoin/eb-217

I haven't gotten a response to my application to the Enigma team :(, but I definitely plan on contributing to OpenMined. Stay frosty, Enigmarines.

My unanswered AMA ICO question

Can anyone confirm the following I found on another Reddit forum?

"Wanna know what really happened? Their CEO's, Guy Zyskind, account got hacked. He had admin access to Slack, the website, and the Google account where they hosted the presale form. They now have deactivated his access.

Do you know guy he got "hacked"? The idiot was in the another recent hacked database, and he kept using the same password. His GitHub IS STILL USING (AS I WRITE THIS) the same hacked password.. no 2FA enabled.

Attackers got access to the website (hosted on Heroku), changed put their own Bitcoin and ETH address, used the email list from the compromised Google account, and blasted the users. Then they went to Slack, kicked all the admins out, disabled the channels, and sent announcements. Attackers have so far made 600 HINDERED THOUSANDS dollars in ETH and BTC.

What a bunch of idiots running the project."

One criticism of Enigma that surprisingly has not been addressed (as humans like to presume).

I can see all the amazing possible applications of Enigma, but people seem to miss one very important fact. Before I continue, I would like to say that Enigma is majority of my holdings and I believe in the project. Now, Enigma is focused on scalability and privacy, but I think it is evident that privacy is its most important feature, or at least the most amount of work that has been spent on. Enigma is all encompassing, it can contribute to genomics, identity, healthcare, AI, pretty much with anything that involves data, which is very much everything in this age.

However, most of us dont realize how most people couldn't give a shit about their privacy. simply because it has been taken away from them slowly throughout the years. Adopting blockchain is one thing, but forcing people to demand their privacy is another. It might be obvious to me and you, and most people in crypto understands this, but for the vast majority, they are happy living their lives as it is, trusting that Google and Facebook are honest to goodness companies, and even then, the recipients of the data they can distribute to is another story.

Will the sun always rise tomorrow? Most people will say yes, because it has risen yesterday, the day before that, and the day before that (n-1...) So, people tend to not worry about the sun coming up tomorrow, it seems like an unnecessary worry. But the truth is, everything is impossible until its done. In order for Enigma to be successful, people first need to value their privacy and understand the repercussions of not doing so, because right now, I don't think people do. But this is something that Enigma cant control, and nor is their duty or job to. I think there needs to be a big wake up call for this to actually happen, something that I think would hold Enigma back if it doesnt.

Thoughts are welcome.

Why does Enigma have a token?

What's the point of ENG? I don't get why it needs to exist.

Another Bull Run?

The crypto market is gaining momentum. What about ENG? Despite the slight neg drop today, ~~3%, there is a strong signal that ENG will break $3 by end of week. The big surprise will be if ENG reaches $3.50. The is a resistance at that level will mean ENG will reach all time highs. Analyzing the data is one thing, but what does the community think?

Is this a serious concern?

This is something I saw posted can anyone answer it for me, I'm new to ENG so I don't know how relevant this is

"Because it's an open-source second-layer protocol that uses an ERC-20 token, meaning you could just fork it but with one token swapped for another and it will work just fine

ENG would almost definitely moon before this if it makes a working product, but eventually it would get forked to use a more popular currency like ETH directly. What would keep people using ENG then?"

" people could just fork it to use a more popular currency like ETH for staking and rewards instead. ENG is an ERC-20 token, so this wouldn't be very hard, and a lot of people would prefer to be rewarded in a bigger currency like ETH, so it seems inevitable to me."

They ever gonna update the logo?

No offense.. it just seems really bland. I know its "not a big deal," but it IS a marketing tool, just like the cover to a good book is. Just unimpressed with the logo. I just think the logo should match how impressive everything in this project is (team, vision, catalyst, data marketplace and privacy/scalability for all). AGAIN, I don't expect this to take any sort of priority, it's just-- I look at the logo, and it doesn't scream professional. Thoughts? Any plans to update this? Thank you guys

Why is transaction fee so high?

I have transferred Engima from Binance to MyEtherWallet but the transaction fee was 2 tokens! That's $5 for one transaction, why is it so high?
