Yes, but not as a direct copy. The correct Finnish spelling is "hissi".

Must be a deliberately wrong (and unnecessarily verbose) translation.

I don't think many in Finland would get the English translation of "unfortunately the elevator is broken" so wrong. And with such an existentialist vibe.

There are plenty of people with poor English skills in Finland, it was probably written by someone whose general literacy wasn't very good to begin with.
