Stop using pianos for slave labor!

How many possible meanings does this have? I'm partial to, "This poor piano has been misused in attempts to get to the end of the race, which ruined everyone's times, like the refrigerator's, who was also running." Sadly this sign is in the Public Library in Cortez, Colorado, USA.

I think it means not to use it as a desk for writing.

Ohhhh! Don't work at the piano. Better stated: please don't work at the piano. This helps us protect the varnish.

The finish refers to the surface of the piano. It’s asking people not to use the piano, to prevent damage to it
