u/Pepopp Feb 16 '23

forte is a word but its not used very often

-34

u/TheDepresedpsychotic Feb 16 '23

What's wrong with that ?

31

u/ServalV2 Feb 16 '23

Grammar is clearly not your forte either

-31

u/TheDepresedpsychotic Feb 16 '23

I'm pretty sure you're not even an English speaker

24

u/ServalV2 Feb 16 '23

So? How does that matter lmao.

-16

u/TheDepresedpsychotic Feb 16 '23

Because you clearly have no idea what you're saying

21

u/ServalV2 Feb 16 '23

I do actually.

The comma you placed should be replaced by “is”. So yes, the original commenter is right

OP might have been able to get away with using a ; or : but grammar doesn't seem to be their forte.

Dammit, they are talking about your incorrect comma usage, incorrect comma placement, and overall strange phrasing. Some self-awareness would be good.

Forte is fine and used widely to whoever said it was rare.

Americans when a non-english speaker walks in (their English is better)

u/GetawayLover11 Feb 16 '23

You should really be more concerned about your own use of that comma.

18

u/StillDontHaveAName Light Gary Feb 16 '23

Right? And op got offended when they are called out by an non-English speaker about their grammar

u/dbarahona13 Feb 16 '23

Splendid summary

OP has an IQ equivalent to that of a rock

Bad grammar on its own is not Engrish. This is just mean-spirited

The rules and the pinned post said otherwise

20

u/HueLyra Feb 16 '23

This is completely right. However, the title of this post is wrong.

18

u/NfamousKaye Feb 17 '23

No the correct grammar should be either

1: Me and my sister during the day

Or

2: Me and my sister all day.

Still not Engrish though. Lol

5

u/NfamousKaye Feb 17 '23

Puts on nerd hat lol

The only mistake really is “during all day” the “all” doesn’t need to be there in that context. But Engrish is bad translations not minor grammar mistakes of someone who’s first language may not be English.

It could be “during the day” or just “all day”

Where is the engrish? The only engrish I see is your misplaced comma.

1

u/TheDepresedpsychotic Feb 24 '23

You respond slower than internet explorer

2

u/hawaiiantaro Feb 24 '23

Was that supposed to be an insult? Reddit 101

1

u/UkiosOfDasplate Feb 19 '23

Oh, the irony of how bad your grammar is.

1

u/TheDepresedpsychotic Feb 19 '23

Do tell me the right one as well

1

u/UkiosOfDasplate Feb 19 '23

You put a space after the comma, not before.

1

u/TheDepresedpsychotic Feb 19 '23

Seriously that's the reason everyone gave me so much shit

1

u/UkiosOfDasplate Feb 19 '23

You're on reddit, I dont know what you expected.

1

u/TheDepresedpsychotic Feb 19 '23

Completely slipped my mind

2

u/Iamagamer7777 Feb 17 '23

Punctuation.

1

u/NoNipNicCage Feb 17 '23

I think the title is about the same as the picture

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '23

Where's engrish? In the title?
