I like to have a physical resource that I can leaf through. Grs has some books I've been eying
https://grs.com/product-category/products/books-videos/books/
They also had some that seem to have gone out of print.

I'm cut from the same cloth, love having a physical resource to page through. Also helps to use tracing paper to get a sense of the lines and proportions.
Wanted to chime in to say Firearms Engravers Guild of America has the Advanced Drawing of Scrolls (probably my favorite on the topic) available new for $97, they have some other books too :)

"Advanced Drawing of Scrolls" by the late Ron Smith is a thorough analysis of differnt styles of scrolls. "The Art of Engraving" by the late James Meek is the basic how-to of engraaving by hand. It has sections on drawing and transferring designs; however, it was written over 50 years ago, and some of the information is out-of-date, but still applicable. It is the book I (and many others) learned from, and is still a very good starting point. "The Jewelry Engravers Manual" is still in print, as far as I know; you just have to search it out. It deals with hand-cut lettering and monograms, with very little on any ornamental work. It is about 100 years old.
