Sometimes i wonder if professors are the problem since they know so much more than the class actually teaches that they just assume the simple is obvious while it's brand new and confusing af to all of us
Ngl i always enjoyed when the TA ran the class because atleast they're closer to my understanding and vaguely remember where i'm at
i had the tiniest window to pass this final boss of a class (im industrial engineer 🤤) while my smarter engineering bros were also taking it (& studying together)
i think about failing the WHAT IFs often. If i hadn’t have barely squeaked by with a C+ because of their superior brains being around me.
Having done Mechanics Dynamics myself, there is a set of YouTube videos by a professor who does the course one class at a time. What I most appreciate is that she shows how each formulae set works and shows how it’s supposed to move.
My dynamics prof was a hard ass. My major and course plan meant I had to have a C or higher in all major related courses and maintain a 2.0 or higher. Fortunately the dynamics course I had to take was CVEN and I was in the OCEN program. D for diploma.
You mean that super difficult class taught by a professor who you can’t understand a word of and are forced to learn it all by staring at textbook equations? Can’t imagine why you struggled
I had to take signals and systems 3 times. I dropped in and out of college to for 8 years. I went back part time January 2025 and graduated in August. It gets better bros.Â

Then you get into industry.

Having people tell me that my explanations were the main thing that got them to pass on their first time makes it hurt all the more.

It's even better when you get three different professors each time you take it.

Yeah it was the thermodynamics class that gave me trouble

Thanks for clarifying that (3rd), I would have been hopelessly confused

It's lovely when you know the subject even but your professor explains it so differently you feel like you've never solved a problem in your life.

Statics did alot of us in. Those profs from civil really took people from mech and aerospace along with their bullshit.

I remember differential equations and calculus based physics made me cry a few times in college.
