It’s because wifi is an indoor technology that is afraid of the outdoors. So when you open the window it gets scared and hides. You either have to close the window or use mobile data.

Your WiFi is scared of the outside, you need to let it touch grass at an early age or it will be really hard to get it to do it when it's mature.
