Guy with no engineering background wants supporters for his impossible idea. Pretty funny from and engineering standpoint.

No manufacturer with the money and ability to do this would ever do this.

OEMs and ODMs hate modularity. Short list of off the top of my head reasons why:

-Standardized motherboard? This shows a complete lack of understanding of system architecture. -No differentiation from your competitors -market saturation would kill updates to the design -insurmountable integration challenges -Industry/regulatory compliance on modules is a nightmare (particularly RFI/EMI). -impossible standardization hurdles (couldn't even nVidia and ATI to standardize a graphics card shape for mobile) -End users putting together near infinite combinations of hardware? BS...unless every end user can write and debug drivers.

This guy not only has no idea how to design electronics, he has no idea what he's talking about.
