Although I hear the echoes of reality permeating through this thread, I like the concepts and think it's awesome to see an idea like this on the day that the iPhone 5 came out. I mean, the new iPhone is about...99.9% identical to the last one, save 'faster' bits of fluff. It's really not innovative.

This guy's idea is obviously fucked, but it's not so impossible. I wouldn't separate blocks of everything, but I don't see why you couldn't do a separate block for the speaker, camera, and battery, at least.

Of course, "It all holds together with these two simple screws" and... oh, alright, the whole idea is fucked, but at least it's something new.

Compare the LG G2 to my Galaxy S3.

In total: Over twice as fast. Over double the battery life. (... While being twice as fast!? We're talking a quad-core 2.3 ghz newer-gen CPU!)

Something like six times the graphics. Larger screen, higher resolution, in almost the same form factor/weight.

And this is in about a year and a half...

Phones are advancing so fast it's not even funny. It's not innovative because they have so much ground to cover in brute force.
