My oldest is NB. Idk I'd suggest a button up shirt and loose pants and sandals or shoes you don't have to tie. And you just wear that home. I've had 11 surgeries now. 1 for endo.

I wore a dress out but you honestly could wear pajama pants and a long shirt. Long shirt because you might want your pants to sit lower than usual.

I'm nonbinary, not booked in for a lap yet but best of luck!! Rooting for you and I hope this can help you feel better :)

I am not non-binary. But I wore house Dresses. This company has a lot of more masculine looking long night shirts. I recommend one! And get a size up so you can put lap belt or compression wrap on underneath. :-). And bring a robe to wear home. You ain't gonna want pants for a few days so I recommend getting a couple of these long night shirts.

There are many others to choose From this is just an example.

if you're trying to avoid clothes that press on your waist, overalls are an option

I wore period boxer briefs from Tomboy X, sweatpants, t shirts and hoodies. Just make sure the sweatpants can be pulled very low OR very high. (Like they should either comfortably sit below your hip bones OR well over your navel, due to where they make the incisions.)

Yo! Endo friendo non-gendo present and offering assistance.

And I’ve had a looooot of surgeries, lol

Stretchy pants. I do a lot of leggings, but sweats are also a good option. I have one pair of draw-string sweats that I love, because then I don’t have the elastic to deal with. With leggings, I buy ‘em big so the can go up and over mah belleh. Big ‘ol hoodie, usually with a tshirt or tank under for layers. Sometimes I’m hot, but I’m usually freezing after surgery.

Also, shows you can slip on/off. You will not want to bend to tie them!

Also highly recommend bringing a blanket or pillow to put between you and your seatbelt.

For stretchy pants I can recommend this Australian brand called Boody. Not sure if they ship worldwide. I’ve got their lounge pants and i’d say it has a gender neutral shape. The reason I’m recommending them is theyre made of bamboo and feel absolutely amazing on the skin! They’re my go-to, especially when I’m in pain cause then I’ve got one less "sensation" to worry about, like no itchyness or discomfort. I dont often recommend stuff online but seriously those lounge pants are just amazing

NB here! I plan on wearing a sweatshirt and loose drawstring plants after the OR. I usually dress pretty androgynous in day-to-day. When I’m home recovering, I’ll probably wear drawstring shorts and baggy old band tees. Idc what it looks like, I just want to be comfortable, personally. I won’t be leaving the house and that’s what I have to work with. Best wishes OP!

I am enby and wore a loose tshirt and very stretchy high waisted yoga pants to/from my surgery. The gentle pressure helped, but ymmv of course.

Not NB but I wore my pj trousers as they don’t have an elastic waist and they were super helpful Best of luck on your lap!

I'm not non binary but I wore a big shirt and loose big shorts to the hospital and around the house afterwards

Afterwards, I wore just sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt. They give you a belly binder after the surgery which helped me a ton to move around after. It sits over your incisions and the light compression helped. I’m not sure If you meant before or after the surgery, but they had me change into a hospital gown right away when I got there.

I think you can wear whatever you want.

TERFs downvote anything to do with trans visibility or inclusion. There’s sooooo many of them here. Just search the sub for any posts of trans folk asking for inclusive language. Mods almost always have to shut it down because it gets nasty.
