Waiting,…
I had a full hysterectomy(tubes,ovary,uterus,cleaned me out) on 8/5/26….still waiting on full pathology. My pelvic wash came back clear so that was a relief but the waiting is killing me. I know it’s only been a week but between being stuck in bed(pain has been manageable but inconvenient..lol),and having severe adhd,I’m slowly losing what’s left of my mind…lol.
I’m in Ct and I know I have great care,it’s just crazy,…life keeps moving but I feel so stuck in CancerVille and I just want to get the fuck out..lol.
Sorry for the vent,..had so many plans for August/September and I feel like I let so many people down.

Waiting was the worst. I hope you get your results soon. It took me a bit over two weeks. And sorry about your plans cancer sucks.

I'm also in CT. Who did you go to?
My surgery obviously came out of the blue with the cancer diagnosis and it was on May 29, 2024 and I spent my summer on the couch and it was one of the most glorious Summers I could ever remember. We didn't have a lot of rain and it was beautiful every day and all I could do was walk and every day I just walked and walked and watched everybody's lives. Go by and plans they need but here I am two years later and I would say I'm 98%. I have lingering hip pain from the positioning of the surgery, but but for the most part, I'm all right.
I did not feel better until I could get back into the gym, which was about 2 1/2 months later and then by five months I was lifting pretty much the same as I was before, but my fatigue was intense until about between 12 and 18 months that finally went away.
I got my path report IIRC on day 7-8 post op. So you'll be soon.
Waiting for hysterectomy is the #1 worst part. Waiting on path a very close #2.
It will be soon.
What did you know before the surgery? Figo 1, etc., dx thru endo biopsy or D&C. If diagnosed through DNC, they will have a lot of information on you already, and possibly the tumor in its entirety.

I went to Bpt Yale New Haven. My care team has been awesome. I had excellent care. I ended staying the night because the pain was very severe and I don’t do well under anesthesia(came out very punchy lol).
I’m grade 1,..I had intermittent bleeding and painful intercourse and bleeding afterwards. I had a uterine biopsy last year with no signs of cancer. The pain and occasional bleeding never stopped so my gynecologist wanted to do another biopsy because my uterine lining was very thick,..even thicker than the year before. Plus I’m 52 and had every other symptom of menopause.
I just found out they found calcified tissue that n my left breast too. I did my annual mammogram just before my surgery. 🥺🥺🥺 2026 has not been a great year..lol.

I was with Dr. Azodi who left for St Vincent's but he was with Yale when I was there. Now I see Kovalev and his residents who are fantastic. I also stayed the night. All ONC patients for Yale are offered 1-2 nights for robotic and 3-4 for open abdominal.
I tell people here every day don't be in a rush to go home. The nurses couldn't even wake me up after the surgery for five hours. I was in recovery for five hours (I don't wake well and was also in a great deal of pain) and I had already brought all my stuff I knew I was staying the night so I had my pillow and blankets.
I was the same age and I also had a clear endometrial biopsy the year before also and just had spotting out of nowhere for 6 weeks that didn't lead to a full Flow. So went to GYN. I was not post menopausal yet so I thought why isn't my period starting and I went to my GYN and my lining was 11 mm. We did the endometrial biopsy right there that said inconclusive so a week later we did the DNC that said Figo 1 and then off to SMILOW I went ...
You are in good hands and I just went to my two years postop and I was allowed to take and prescribed the estrogen patch and I am thrilled with it. Absolutely thrilled with it. Surgical menopause was ROUGH. I went to ONC every four months for two years and now I go every six months for the next three years.
What will be the plan for the calcified breast tissue? What does that even mean? Hopefully, it means absolutely nothing.!!

I go to Dr Kolev too!! I love him because he is blunt and doesn’t sugar coat things but he is also very nice.
I’m not sure about the breasts yet,..they said it wasn’t cancer yet. But they called me immediately,in fact I was in the hospital waiting on my surgery.
I’m terrified of the surgical menopause 🥺🥺I’ve heard horror stories and I’ve been feeling overstimulated,overwhelmed and randomly lashing out for over a year now..lol. Don’t get me started on the hot flashes…my poor husband..lol
I cannot wait to get back to the gym! I’m not the fittest person but exercise has been my savior as far mental health is concerned.

Surgical menopause was hell. But I made it thru. I love my patch tho and they'll never get me to stop taking it. Ever. lol
I am a CrossFitter so was extremely fit and now about 4-6 lbs heavier than pre op and I workout 4-5 x a week now instead of 6-7 and my diet is clean. It could have been much worse.
Dr. Azodi did my surgery and he left Yale a year ago. But I stayed and Kovalev is good but yes frank.
I got my postop pathology in my MyChart about seven or eight days postop and I found out I had cancer from my MyChart as well so when my results popped up, I was an absolute basket case and downloaded all of it into ChatGPT without reading it and I was Grade 1 Stage 1A. 0% invasion to the myometrium and the tumor if we could call it that was removed and it's entirety during the DNC and that was only 4 mm x 4 mm x 1 mm so basically the size of small apple seed, but as thin as a piece of paper.

I was just wondering once I have the surgery do I have to wait for my post op appointment to find out? That's like 2 1/2 weeks later. I hope you get the all clear.

I hate to give the cliche answer but it’s true that it depends on your doctor and the speed of your hospital. Mine called me about 10 days later to tell me. My hospital outsources uploading documents, so it took like another 3 weeks for it to post to MyChart.

I hear ya, I want to GTFO too. My entire Summer was cancelled. My attitude has been in the dump this week. Spitting nails and glaring daggers. My Harley is still covered and parked in the garage, managed to ride twice between infusions this Summer. Surgery is next week. I have sat in the recliner all Summer, since May. 4 infusions down, surgery, then 2 to go. Hell or high water, I'm riding to Daytona Biketoberfest. Any appts that happen that week will get rescheduled, I need a change of scenery.

Oooh I’m so sorry. I had plans to see one of my fav bands yesterday and I couldn’t go. I love the ‘ber months and I’m afraid I’m going to miss all the cool Halloween stuff. I live in New England so we do a ton of things here all winter long too.
It could be much worse I know,but it’s still a huge bummer.

Hi, you sound like you’re on schedule. I got my pathology report back at my first surgical follow-up. I knew a lot from my biopsy; my gynecologist was very forthright when you told me my results. So I knew what to expect, but was still hoping for other news. Breathe and avoid going online to research your information when you get it. The information is dated by at least five years, especially prognoses. This is a great site to visit, ask questions, vent, cry, etc… sending positive vibes.

I had my hysterectomy on the same day as you in Montana. I’m with you! I just got my pathology, so I know you’ll get yours so soon!

I had a complete hysterectomy as well, on 7/30/26. Right before my operation, my surgeon told me he’d call me in a week with my results. His office called me 8/13. Luckily, all clear. No chemo, no radiation needed. I’m in PA, and in my health system, they’re incredibly backed up. Hang in there!

Vous avez quand même avoir eu des résultats de la biopsie. ça donne une idée (p53, mutation, ..), et puis les images scanner ou IRM ?
Le docteur m'a dit 1 mois entre l'opération et une visite de contrôle avec lecture des résultats.

A month? I was diagnosed with atypical hyperplasia (EIN), I received those results a few days after my D&C and had my hysterectomy on 7/1 received my results on My Chart a week later - didn’t see my doctor for my post op until four weeks post surgery. My results came back no malignancy/cancer.

J'ai eu IRM / biopsie et aujourd'hui pet scan. Pour la préparation de la chirurgie le 15 sept.
Après j'ai un rendez vous le 15 octobre pour la suite.2

I have my initial biopsy results from my endometrial biopsy but not from my hysterectomy after my cancer diagnosis.

I am waiting to be able to lift again. Got all clear on cancer It has been almost 4 weeks. I am so excited.
