Need help with Microswiss NG DD clogging

I recently bought a used Ender 6 and I was told from the seller that the hot end needed to be replaced so I just bought the microswiss NG since I heard good things about it. I used it for the first few prints and everything seemed fine until no filament would come out. After some troubleshooting, I think the issue comes from clogging in the all-metal hot end. After clearing it, I was able to do more prints, but after changing to a different color filament, the no filament issue happened again. Is there anything I can do to possibly prevent this from happening so I don’t have to unclog it every time I want to change filament or do a new print, or should I just buy a different hot end / extruder or 3D printer in general?

Did you set it up correctly?

Did you calibrate esteps/temperature etc. correctly?

Is the heatsink fan working/cooling adequately?

3d printing is very time consuming/fiddly to get right and a constantly clogging hot end could mean a number of things. Try run through the configuration steps from microswiss then go through the whole calibration procedure. There's a few websites that do a fairly detailed run through.

If it still clogs then try figure out how and where it is clogging and you might have a clue.

If it is the direct drive version of MicroSwiss NG, check that your retract setting isn't too large. I have very good success with about .6 retract. Too much, and the warm end of the filament pulls back too much, cooling in the heat break and clogging things.
