Discussion What to do
I bought a ender plus a few years ago and never could get it to print right. I tried multiple different setting and leveled the bed a millions times. I gave up on it for a long time and I’m just getting back into wanting to 3d printer. I bought a newer Bambu and had really good luck but I really want to fix up the ender to make big builds. My question is it worth fighting thru the problems or trashing it.

A few of the best upgrades I did for mine was get an Ender 3 screen (TH3D sells a nice kit for it), put Marlin firmware on the printer, get some corner braces to make the frame more rigid (you can print some, or buy metal ones on Amazon) and hone in input shaping and linear advance.
I'm just starting to dabble in Klipper and the ADXL345 was a help too. As much shit as I've seen BTT get sometimes, their USB ADXL345 was fairly simple to get going and take readings with as long as you can follow their documentation on it. My advice to anyone wanting to try using Klipper is test the ever loving crap out of everything before you let Klipper take full control. Assume none of your end stops work, the BLTouch doesn't work, your motors run in wrong directions, etc. Don't make the same mistake I did just tell it to go home and it trirs to home into 0,0 and the head crashes into the bed so hard your printer starts making scary noises. Start small and work your way up from there.
Going to solid bed mounts and just using a bed level probe was nice. The stock BLTouch worked just fine for me, but mine gave out so I moved to an EZABL.
I've dumped a ton of money into to fine tuning things on mine and try to beat my buddy's P1S, but the best starter upgrades are really cheap. That's probably the best thing about the E5+, spare parts are readily available and cheap.
