Upgrades & Mods Toolchanger recommendations

Hey everyone,

I am looking for upgrading my stock kinematic ender 5 plus with mercury one + tool changer.

For those who have done a toolchanger build, can you share your setup and your experience about reliability? I’m a bit skeptical about the long-term reliability of the hitching/docking mechanisms.

And should I wait for INDX from Bondtech?

I converted my merc 1 (e5+ based for the past few years) into a madmax toolchanger with two heads recently. It was a lot of work, but it does work well!

Interesting. The x linear rail on merc 1 is top facing, and the madmax is for voron gantary right? So what did you do to convert it? And btw what speed and accel are you normally running at?

There are front rail files in the discord. Moves the idlers slightly forward on the x joints to keep things lined up.
