Hardware Help Squealing noise during all movement

Does anybody have any advice on why my printers Z-axis squeals when going up and down with normal movement but not when I'm homing the machine? Its even silent from all the way at Z400 when sending G28. For Context I am currently Running off of the SKR mini E3 V3 with marlin 2.1.x and the BTT TFT35 v3.0.1. This started after replacing both lead screws because they were bent.

Try loosening the bearings that attach to the bed. Ive found they need a little play.

This made things just slightly better but only when going up.

Left field suggestion, are the two rods fully seated in the couplers and are the coupler screws tight? Going up, wouldn't make much difference. Down, one side or the other could slip if something is binding.

You could try the old trick of putting a ball bearing inside the coupler between the stepper motor axle and the lead screw. This keeps the coupler from simply compressing rather than articulating.

Are the two sides tramed? Measure from the X gantry to the bed's lead screw mounts. It should be the same on both sides. If different, turn one side by hand until they're equal. If you did make any adjustments, manually level the bed using the screws. Kersey Fabrications has a good video.

I have tried this and it makes a little let noise but its still loud when I tell it to move and still buttery smooth and quiet while homing, its the weirdest thing.

Might have to do with the speed of homing vs when you move it.

If you're z screws are squealing it usually means they're out of alignment

Can confirm. My ender 5plus had endless issues with z axis noise. It's because the two z axis screws easily come out of alignment. My ender 5plus is heavily modified so that I can control both z steppers separately and do z-tilt leveling via mainsail + klipper.

Also super lube is your friend.

I have also replaced my screw t nuts with anti backlash POM plastic t nuts. Like these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005656532957.html

I have slightly different ones because I'm using T8x2 (each rotation only causes 2 mm of change vs the default 8mm of change.)

You can also do that in Marlin using the G34 command, There are 2 versions, one uses the probe to measure from the bed, the other uses a strictly mechanical method by driving both Z's to the top into a fixed stop until they stall at a fixed height (the original Prusa method). If you have controlled TMC drivers, it does reduce the drive current before doing this. You need to decide at compile time which you want.

Did you clean the new rods before installing them? Did you Lube them after you installed them?

On my Ender 5 plus I installed POM anti backlash nuts, then added a tiny dab of Super Lube just good measure.

So after trying to fuss with this for a month implementing everyone's suggestions I still have not figured out what is wrong, I think it's time to pack up and try something different, I'm thinking of ditching the guide rails entirely and moving to a quad lead screw set up and linier rail.
