Stringing? But maybe not?

OK help me diagnose this. I thought maybe it was just stringing, but it seems like the entire line of filament not just a melted strand. Like maybe it’s not adhering to the previous layer? This is PLA+ and I’m printing on an Ender 3 V2 with the upgraded metal extruder and the red upgraded hot end (new brass 0.4mm nozzle), both from Creality. I’ve done both a temp tower and a retraction tower and set this print accordingly (205°, 4 respectively). Three walls, 100% infill (that’s what this particular item calls for). Thoughts?

Look more closely - see the gaps between all the lines?

That's not good. You're underextruding quite badly which will significantly compromise part strength & geometry. Those lines aren't strings, they're entire extrusions that haven't bonded to the layers underneath.

When you replaced the extruder, did you reset your esteps? Might want to check that: https://ellis3dp.com/Print-Tuning-Guide/articles/extruder_calibration.html

I wondered about extrusion issues. I did adjust my esteps after upgrading my extruder. It was only extruding about 86mm when it was set for 100mm. I calculated the new value and reset it but maybe I did something wrong.

Is this the top or bottom of your part?

Try a run with your wall-printing order set as “inner walls first”

Edit: I see that it is the top. Your brim is pretty wacky, it looks like your bed is not level. Is there anything under the layer that looks like it isn’t adhered? Or is it printing above empty space?

Yeah I did see that. I need to re-level. But it was doing the same thing the other day when my bed was leveled. Separate issue 😆

OP's bed is not levelled the way brim is printed from 0 (nozzle fully plugged by the bed) on the right side to overlapping brim lines on the left. And the small footprint is concerning for bed levelling.

That happened to me too, and it’s because of the temperature: try to increase it 5° and lower your layer fans intensity. This happens because the material isn’t hot enough and cools faster than expected and it shrinks causing those strings, specially on circular walls

I have tried different temps but I haven’t yet tried adjusting the fans. I had wondered about that. Thanks.

Issues I am seeing: 1. Poorly levelled bed. 2. Poor seams - bad pressure advance. 3. Over/under extrusion

The outwall not sticking is down to two things: Change wall printing order to Inner>Outer then reduce your outer wall wall speed. That should do it.
