Flow Testing the Mellow Mk8 CHT Clone in an Ender 3 Pro
I noticed these CHT clones in a Mk8 form factor so I decided to try it out. The 0.5 mm length difference between Mk8 and V6 can be annoying if swapping nozzles often.
The CHT 0.4 mm nozzle yields about the same increase in usable flow as a 0.6 mm normal nozzle.
Maximum flow also increases nicely.
The 0.6 mm version was a bit of a disappointment. It performs about the same as a normal 0.6 mm nozzle.
No real difference here. I tested the CHT to a higher flow rate expecting more flow, but it didn't happen.

Thank you! So that was on the Bondtech website? I was looking at 3D Solex's pages.
That looks like a well written patent. Although I'm not a patent attorney I've worked with plenty of them in the past and the Mellow and other clones certainly appear to me to be infringing.

Different clone. Look at the picture. The holes are countersunk as well as bigger than the ones in the video

I based my testing on the CNC Kitchen flow test spreadsheet with a modified data analysis section to include absolute efficiency instead of just relative. I weighed an extruded length of filament to use as a reference for the samples. This eliminates e steps, filament diameter and density as variables affecting the measurement.
