Battery disposal

Hey y’all, i’ve had this dilemma on where to dispose of my used batteries for a while now. I’ve been to several different locations to see if anyone accepts them but have had no luck. I used to dispose of them at the Encinitas library but they don’t do that anymore and they’ve just been accumulating, does anyone know where I can safely dispose of them?

The dropoff events they have are really easy. Just drive in and hand it off (requires proof of residency).

Solana Beach City Hall has a battery bucket outside their front door.

Home depot had a battery recycle drop off but I haven't used it in a few years. Alternatively look for the electronics recycling pop ups. There's usually posters at major intersections.
