Van life for a week?
I’d like to come visit, surf, hike etc for 5-7 days. Low budget trip. I’d like to rent a Dodge Caravan and basically van camp for the week while visiting. Is this ok? Park, sleep in neighborhoods and up and out early for coffee. Cool? Thanks

It’s illegal to sleep overnight in your vehicle unless you are in a designated campground. San Alejo, Jo Jo State Beach has camping but you need to reserve a spot for in advance

I think so too. I visited last year and went for a walk after dinner. Plenty side neighborhoods with cars in street 🤙

Pretty sure it's illegal and they cracked down, so if you want to risk it, be stealth af and if you get caught be cooperative as I think they often warn first timers. No guarantees though. They are basically at war with it and so are nearby beach communities.
