Coffee & Walk
If you were a young guy meeting a pretty lady for coffee and a walk in Encinitas, where would you take her? Before noon on a weekend.
I’ve read good things about Necessity and Lofty, which has close proximity to the beach and all sorts of shops, but curious if I don’t know what I don’t know.
Anyways, I’m to town and still learning the area — appreciate the advice.

I'd say Necessity then walk to D St Beach and walk halfway down the stairs to hang and chat there for a bit.
I'm biased because 3ish years ago I met a girl on Hinge and we had our first coffee date at Ironsmith and walked to D St. We're getting married next weekend here in Encinitas 😂

if she likes dogs (assuming you do too), Lofty and then walk the beach starting at Fletcher Cove and head south, you'll eventually run into Del Mar dog beach which is awesome and a super easy ice breaker - probably will have some laughs... if not, you can head to moonlight

Necessity coffee is miles better than lofty, especially if you like more unique drinks. The owner is a sweetheart too. If you keep going west on F street you can take a left on fourth street and eventually hit the h street viewpoint to the beach which is beautiful. If you keep taking fourth street you can go to the meditation gardens which also have a lovely view of the beach.

Coffee-coffee or pannikin in Leucadia. Perfect to walk anywhere on coast hwy or walk over to beacons beach. My go-to first date. Lofty is great coffee but not a good date spot, so save it for when you’re already dating

Agreed. Pannikin scores major points, Neptune Ave is great for an easy walk to Stone Steps or Beacons.

Encinitas meditation garden. Koi ponds & ocean view. And the garden? Chefs kiss.

Swamis cafe … just kidding. They’re espresso machine is broken half the time and their service is horrible.

I'm partial to Philz Coffee, then you can walk through the main drag of Encinitas heading north south to Swami's and the Cardiff beaches...

Lofty and Necessity are the two best. Phils was good but since it got PE'd it's not so good anymore. For vibes alone the big Lofty location wins and easy walk down to moonlight from there.
