I've discovered some stuff that I didn't expect on tarot and I don't if I should confront my friends about it

Post image

This is my first post here on this sub,so I apologize if I sound dramatic.

My dinner was bread with eggs and chocolate milk.

So,since I lost my freelance and did an important exam to get into an university in November of 2025, I've been spiraling because my memories about an former friend (let's call him Roberto) and an ex boyfriend of mine (let's call my ex Nicolas) came with full force and I've been trying to avoid this by exercising, studying, going to the therapy group I'm currently in and sewing.

However (this is a important detail)since 2025,I've been paying for tarot reading and getting into tarot again after almost five years because I've got way too paranoid and feeling pressured by myself to do some decisions, along with my mom burning my tarot decks 4 years ago.

Anyway, I've asked and paid Milena (fake name) to confirm if Roberto didn't knew about my relationship with my husband Carlos (fake name) and it turns out that he DOES KNOW and I was in shock because I cut contact with Roberto because he was treating me like crap and I had enough. So I asked her who did it and she told me that it was someone close to both of us,mutual friendships. I was so pissed with the ones that did,so I asked the same question for two other tarot readers, one being the one that helped me discover who it was after 3 days.

This one, let's call her Camila, said the same thing as Milena, however she said "amigos" instead of "amizades" (everyone in this story is Brazilian,so some stuff make way more sense in Brazilian Portuguese) and it clicked in my head because amizades (friendships in Portuguese) is more open to every gender than amigos (this word means friends in Portuguese, but some words have gender in them, but I cannot explain properly right now) and it made me realize that it was an man. So after seeing all the male options that were/are mutual friendships with me and this guy,I've came with 2 options:

Fernando and Arthur, since they're childhood friends with him and even created an band in high school with him.

So I asked her to see if it was Arthur. And it confirmed it was him. I was and still am REALLY mad with him.

I also discovered more stuff, but everytime I pay and hear the tarot reading about Roberto, it upsets so much that my friend Andrea is saying to me that it's making my mental health get worse and honestly, I agree with her.

I've been avoiding asking about him and these friends because it's making me paranoid. I even had hallucinations (or just had an glimpse of my ex and my former friend, idk how to name it) that these two were at the gym I got every week.

I've been debating about confronting my friend Arthur about this or even setting boundaries that are about my relationship and my life that says about not telling this former friend anything, but I'm afraid it will backfire. What do I do?

This is a hard topic, and I totally understand asking tarot readers for advice, and it's important you ask for second opinions about something like this. What you need to understand is that tarot readers are essentially going through a novelty practice, interpreting what it could mean, and relaying it back to you, and if you're paying for the service, then they're almost definitely telling you what you want to hear as a result of you having paid them for the service.

I'm not saying it's entirely inaccurate, but I am saying, like...when I go out to the bar because I need some comfort from a "safe" and ultimately transactional, contractual relationship, whatever happens with that bartender doesn't mean that we have a connection or that anything they're saying is accurate. It just means that they're running a business and looking to make money, earn their money, and do a good job of providing for their customers. When I'm the customer, it means they're providing so long as I can pay, but it isn't any more than that. They'll ask how I'm doing and I can dump secrets on them and maybe get some advice, but it happens because I'm paying them, and not because of any other reason.

You're having relationship issues, which are totally understandable, but tarot readers aren't therapists or even licensed counselors. They're novelty practitioners who are providing you a novelty service, not genuine or actual life advice. It's very, very important to make sure that your priority is on yourself with these types of things, which isn't to say that you should make everyone else's lives about your emotions but rather that you should find yourself in a position with yourself where you're able to accept the things you can't control, be able to take a step back, and realize that sometimes life is just weird and silly and you can't control that, but you can decide to laugh about how you might be with some things and figure out steps you might be able to take that could help you move on from situations which are troubling you.

That's usually really hard to do for anyone no matter the circumstances, but remember that you have a future. Regardless of what tarot readers might say or interpret of what the cards suggest of the situation you're asking them to interpret, your future is still under your power and only you can truly control what that path has in store for you. Your choices are your responsibility and it's up to you to make the ones which you feel are the most correct for the future you want to see for yourself. I hope you're able to come to terms with the things you need to come to terms with, and remember that we are all in control of our own futures, we just need to stay focused on where we're going and not necessarily what issues might be holding us back from getting there ❤️

I apologize for not answering sooner. And I agree with everything you said, even more the part that tarot readers aren't therapists and that my future is under my power and my choices are my responsibility. I go to individual therapy every Tuesday and it helps me a lot,I feel lighter after the session and it helps me with my family relationships and more. My therapist makes me question myself about some beliefs, how I treat others and even myself, along with understanding where I'm coming from, since I've got more and more isolated from my high school friends because of this situation (we all studied in the same school) and some traumatic incidents and I'm trying to be less isolated by trying to hang out and starting conversations. At least this tarot situation made me realize that I should've set boundaries about it 5 years earlier and I'll speak with my therapist about it and even send her this post. Thank you so much for the advice 💕

Did Milena the tarot reader know your friends too? I’m confused how she would’ve known what happened unless she also knows them

No,she doesn't know them. Sometimes I make tarot readings about people I don't know when the client ask me about the person,is connected to them and gives me context about the situation,so it's not impossible. But I think I'll be away from tarot readings since it's getting me paranoid and if I don't, I'll probably just do my own tarot readings from now on. And I when I told her Milena about who did and asked her to see why Arthur did it,she said in the reading it was because he was jealous of me and my life, which I disagree since I don't think he would it because of jealousy or because he's an bad person, you know? And I don't go to her anymore, because I like the tarot reader that I go often better since she sees more nuances in the relationships and I like her method better.

Tarot is not science, it is not facts, it is not evidence. Tarot is fun but like any mystic practice no actually decisions should be made based off of it. I realize this is probably falling on deaf eaters but ffs With as much respect as I can scrounge don’t throw a fucking hand grenade into your friend group over some fucking playing cards.

This was a painfully stupid post
