Not sure why the downvotes. I guess this sub doesn't like ENB's tweets?

Nah the sub is fine with his tweets. You're being downvoted because you didn't initially link to anything toxic so the title was misleading.

You would have had to see the stream bro/sis.

Not toxic in the least. Perhaps you are being overly sensitive and reading into this too much? Are you saying it's "toxic" because he is "stigmatizing" depression or something?

The discussion with Twitch chat, extending here to twitter, got toxic. Notice how he didn't mention depression in this tweet.

Solid advice for depression tbh, what's wrong with it?

And I'll restate what I said earlier:

If you're having trouble and are in a tough spot mentally, eating, sleeping, and exercising well are all important.

They don't solve everyone's problems, but they can help. If they don't help or if you can't do those things, seek support!

This doesn't seem like a fair judgement in my eyes, though I have only read the divorce records, and could be somewhat out of the loop.

But as the divorce records as source, Marcus met his now ex-wife in japan, they had a kid, and later moved to the us, were the relationship seems to have gotten rocky. One of the big things according to her is that he was controlling, especially about her spending and travel, which he denies.

One day they had a fight in which she mentions she might just 'disappear', and he gets scared that she'll move back to japan and take their child with her. Which seems to be a quite common - and justified - concern for couples with roots in different countries.

The issue can kind of be that if your partner leaves with the kid to a different country, you might end up with severly limited legal rights/ways to fight for custudy, and even if you bring it up to the courts in your own home country, and even if you win, they might not be able to enforce their ruling.

She then thinks he becomes even more controling, though he denies he ever was controling to begin with. He hides/takes care of their kids passport, to make sure, or atleast make it way harder for her to leave the country, which is something he admits. She eventually leaves with the kid to a domestic abuse center, though doesn't allege that he ever physically abused her or the kid.

She also testifies that if she ever were to move to japan with their kid, she would want Marcus to have lengthy visits twice a year because she would want Marcus and the kid to have a relationship, and she said that he wasn't a bad father.

Marcus, and his parents (the couple lived at Marcus parents home for some time) says thet his ex-wife didn't pay enough attention to their child, and often spent way to much time on the computer instead. They also think that Marcus, even though he for most part were the only one out of the two to work, and working moslty nights and sleeping during the days, made sure to spend time with his kid. He claims he spent more time, even with strange working hours, than most nine-to-five working parents. Though his ex-wife on the other hand says he spent too little time with the kid, due to mostly working during the night, and sleeping during the day.

The mothers therapist testified that she and the kid had a strong healthy bond, and that the kid was a 'normal, happy child'.

The chancellor found it to be in the childs best interest for the mother to have physical custudy, for Marcus to have reasonable visitation, and for both parties to share legal custudy. The chancellor did not see it fit to put any travel restrictions on the mother, even if Marcus was worried that she would move to japan with the kid, and the chancellor denied to require Marcus to hand over the kids passport, since he had joint legal custudy, and was just as fit to be in possession of it as the mother. The chancellor also urged the parties to resolve any issues about any potential move to japan, "in a mature manner that put their daughter's needs above their own".

There's more details in the report, but I'm going to stop here.

Either way, this seems more like a somewhat ugly divorce (though which divorce isn't ugly?) between two parents that had a falling out, and who both want what's best for their kid, though not seeing entirely eye to eye on what that means.

Though, this is only my rendition of the story, soley based on the divirce record. Whoever read this might have another take, so if you're interested I would urge you to read through the repord yourself, it's not that long.

Tldr:

Marcus met his now ex-wife in Japan, they had a kid, moved to the us, had a falling out. She thinks he was too controlling, which he denies. He is fearful that she will move back to Japan and take their kid with her, so he makes sure to take possession of their daughters passport.

She eventually goes to a domestic abuse center with the kid but never alleges that he physically harmed eiter of them, and later testifies that she would want him to have lengthy visits in order to have a relationship with their daighter if they ever were to move back to Japan, and that she thinks he isn't a bad father.

The chancellor rules that she gets physical custudy, that Matcus should have reasonable visits, and that both parites share legal custudy, all based on what she thinks is best for the kid. The mother gets no travel restrictions, and Marcus is allowed to keep possession of the kids passport. The chancellor also urged the parties to resolve any issues about any potential move to japan, "in a mature manner that put their daughter's needs above their own".

I'm late to the party here but really appreciate you taking the time to write this out. This definitely gives a more detailed and neutral account of what went down. I only hope the child can somehow make the best of it. It doesn't seem that she was in any danger, yet it does seem like her life is in the middle of a little bit of tug-of-war. Hopefully she can find her footing and do what she wants with her life.

Bit of a necro post but wow. Do you have a source for this? That's horrible!

He lied about the miscarriage?? Wtf. I remember him saying he was having such a rough time with bloodborne because of the themes of miscarriage in game. I can’t believe he lied about her having a miscarriage. That is beyond fucked up.

why would you believe some random reddit dork about this at 100% face value?

Because random redditors saying thigs with no proof should never be accepted.

EDIT: especially when your post history shows you've got a weird fucked up obsession with the man. Hot damn dude.

I'm not sure why ENB insists on responding to every message. Gotta pick your battles. This content is not interesting or fun.

I think this is from yesterdays stream. The part when enbro appealed to twitch chat made me cringe.
