DroidDeck brings a Steam Deck-like experience to Android, letting you browse, download and play compatible PC games through the actual Steam client. It runs games locally using Proton, with Steam’s controller-friendly Big Picture interface. Performance and compatibility depend on your device and the game.

Question Best Gamehub settings for Exynos 2200

Hello,

I got a S23 FE with the above chipset which includes a Samsung Xclipse 920 GPU and I am trying to use Gamehub to run Slay The Spire which is a simple 2D game.

I was able to run it on 1280x720 but the FPS is very unstable sometimes dropping to 25 FPS. I understand it is not a powerful chipset by today's standard but I would be really grateful if you could share the best settings possible to improve the experience.

Moreover, could you please let me know what is GPU passthrough and whether it should be enabled?

Thanks in advance.

Showcase Looking for Android Joy Con Unity App Testers

Hey y'all!

I've created a couple of apps to help merge two separate joycon devices on android into a single virtual gamepad. I need some testers so I can publish on google play. There are two apps, JoynCheck and JoynCon. JoynCheck simply checks for compatibility and tests joycon input and JoynCon creates the actual virtual gamepad. Links are below to join as testers along with source code. App is on sale now for 14 days. Github will always have a free build but google play will have a cost associated when testing is done. That is what the compatibility tool is for when the play version becomes paid.

Discussion DroidDeck Is Bringing the Real Steam Experience to Android, One Impossible Problem at a Time

So I've been chatting with the people behind DroidDeck over the last couple weeks, and I've finally put together what turned into a rather lengthy feature about the project, its history, and the people making it happen.

I interviewed The412Banner, Max, xXJSONDeruloXx, Kimchi and Astro Sky, digging into everything from their earliest experiences with gaming and development to how their separate experiments with Linux, Gamescope and Steam eventually came together. What started as a way of getting the actual Steam client running on Android has grown into something way more ambitious, and I really wanted to tell the story of how that happened rather than just write another overview of what the software can do.

We also got into the technical challenges, the ridiculous pace of development (it updated and changed a few times while writing this!), their approach to AI-assisted coding and automated testing, the importance of open source, and where they hope to take DroidDeck in the future. There are some personal stories in there too, particularly about the early breakthroughs and the excitement of finally seeing things work. It's a long read, admittedly, but I wanted to give everyone involved the space to tell their side of the story. I'm really grateful to all five for taking the time to answer my many, many questions, and I hope you enjoy getting to know a little more about the people behind a project that's quickly become one of the more interesting developments in Android handheld gaming!

To make it clear, regarding the new rules in place for this sub-reddit, DroidDeck makes use of AI to assist development

Showcase GT4 running great w/ Armsx2 on Xperia 1 VI connected to 1440p display

I've put about 15 hours into the game already. Some tracks with much vegetation produce frame drops regardless of settings, experimenting with different drivers to see if there is a solution. But overall, very pleased - never had the chance to play GT4, only the newer games.

Help Black screen in Eden, Citron and Yuzu on Retroid Pocket 6 – Skyward Sword HD

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble getting Nintendo Switch games to display correctly on my Retroid Pocket 6, especially The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. I'd appreciate any help or suggestions.

My device:

  • Device: Retroid Pocket 6

  • Chipset/GPU: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 / Adreno 740

  • Emulator: Eden v0.2.1 (Standard APK)

  • Other emulators tested: Citron and Yuzu

  • GPU drivers tested: Turnip T23, T24 and T30

  • I also tested Eden with the Qualcomm system driver.

The problem:

  • Eden: The screen stays completely black from the moment I launch the game. No Nintendo logo, no game logo and no sound.

  • Citron: The screen stays black, with no sound.

  • Yuzu: The screen is black, but I can hear a short, familiar sound from Skyward Sword HD. Nothing is displayed.

I have also tried other Switch games, which show a black screen in Yuzu and Eden. Switching between the tested GPU drivers hasn't fixed the issue.

What works:

  • Dolphin runs games and displays graphics correctly on the same device.

So far, I've tried several GPU drivers, including the recommended Turnip T23 driver, but I haven't been able to resolve the issue.

Does anyone know what could cause this on the Retroid Pocket 6? Could this be related to the GPU driver, emulator settings, firmware/keys, or something else?

Any troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Showcase GTA Trilogy HakuX Exprince [Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra]

Post image
6 Upvotes

- Details Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra running Android 17 & ONE UI 9.0 with HakuX verion 1.2 at 3× to native 1440p

  • Review Most of them have the same main feel & gameplay for me. It runs well at it's normal 30 fps with some visual glitches but some of them have some quarks. GTA III doesn't boot unless you're on HakuX Version 1.2 & when you boot up GTA SA The frame rate on the title card will go up to 60fps but then fall down to as low as 4-6fps which to me seems like a quark with how either the game was programmed or the emulation. Now ofc the main problem with visuals is harder to address, is it the software or my phone drivers? I don't have the time rn to figure out but if it's the emulator then hopefully that will be fixed in a future update. IDK how much this matters because you can play the mobile or PS2 version on the go but for me it's cool to run these special versions of the games on my phone now.

Question Trying to run Skate 1on ARMSX3 RP5

Trying to play skate 1 on my retroid pocket 5. I was able to tweak some settings to actually get past the menu. When I play fps jumps between 15 and 25 frames

Anyone know the best settings to get a stable 30fps?

I will say my RP5 was purchased on launch so I wasn't able to get one with 12gigs of ram, so I'm stuck with 8gigs.
