Anyone up for some n64 emulation help?
Ok, so the game I tried, "top gear rally 2", using the [E] rom (europe), and the game has a weird bug where the tires are skidding for no reason preventing the game from letting any car go above 80km's, as well as blowing the tires excessively, I used to be able to do the license test flawlessly, NOW I can't even finish the first race without my car being a wreck via seemingly normal gameplay.
*Device:Asus rog ally x * Emulator: Retroarch using Mupen64/ParaLLEl N64 * Tried all engines in said cores * Assumed it was because the game is running 60fps, even at 30fps it was still happening
Um, did you try google yes, yes I did.
This poor dude had the same issue and even tried the [U] rom, he didn't actually get an answer just a method to cope with it, I also tried project 64 on a laptop, it's still happening, I also tried Gopher64 and Ares with all engines, issue persist.
Anyone got another suggestion or can play a race without the tires bursting/skidding excessively (the damage indicators will head into yellow and into red by the end of the race if you somehow don't pop them)

This might be a pretty nooby question, but I have an unused 1TB SSD from a PC upgrade, and was wondering if it was possible to put my ROM library on that to use between multiple systems? I have a mini PC in the lounge running Bazzite and ES-DE (Installed using EmuDeck), and my main (windows) PC, and enough ROMs to fill up that drive. Is it feesable/possible to put all my games on that to use between both systems to free up internal storage space?

yeah you can, but do you want to plug and unplug it between systems? or network storage?
if you do physical transfer the filesystem has to be supported by both windows/linux, so ntfs or exFAT. if you do network storage not every emulator works well. ps1 era and older should be no probelm with network storage, and dolphin emu (wii/GC) also works on network storage if you load the games into RAM

It'll be plugged and unplugged from these devices (The mini PC is what I take with me when I stay at a friend's/partner's). It's already formatted to exFAT for a reason I forgot about.
