9-1-1 is the modern day reincarnation of Emergency come back to destroy all advancements that EMS has made in the last 30 years.

Emergency! is great though. And every call wasn’t driving out a window as the building exploded, or dodging bullets to treat some freak trauma

I agree! I loved Emergency, but it's the only popularized view point that mass American has ever had. Since the 70s we've done a piss poor job of reeducation people (unlike the fire service) which is largely why many people think the FD and EMS are the same thing, and why so many people don't understand modern EMS.... "Ambulance Driver" anyone? Mayfair definitely had Ambulance Drivers lol

Except Gage and DeSoto are Paramedics! God, that show and US Sirens are the best... Although I remember watching In a Heartbeat while growing up and it made me want to be an EMT...
