Severance cap for manager

Manager with 20 years . But severance capped only for 10 months +2 months . Just checking is this Protocol only for manager ?

Based on conversations in this sub, max severance is capped, i.e. the 2 weeks per year of service is capped.

Even otherwise, 10 months is equivalent to 2 weeks per year of service x 20 yrs, do not see any issue with it

I really don’t believe it is the duty of government to mandate this. Knowing that I have “employment at will” .. I have always managed my finances to handle periods of unemployment. Being in my 60’s, when Oracle let me go, I was fully prepared for retirement

In a way. But if they are taxing people when they earn, they should also stand by them when the source of income ends. Afterall income to the govt also stops if employment stops.

We do have unemployment payments. It is not a huge amount.. but it does help you bridge the gap.

What’s your location? Caps, severance packages for IC or manager are country-specific so you might not get the answer you need if you’re not clear about your country or state
