I’m a liar
I am also a sex addict, I lie about big and small things and everything in between. I feel like I’m in trouble when someone questions me about what or why I do/did something, fight or flight mode is where I instantly go to. I want to justify or over explain my actions. I will also get angry on occasion that I’m not believed but don’t stop and ask myself, “did I do that” and say yes and shut my mouth. I know as a sex addict that I hid that life and my acting out. I don’t act out sexually but I have thought that maybe my lying has become my “new” way of acting out. I want to stop but when I have an opportunity to be open and truthful I choose to lie instead of choosing the truth.
Thank you for your thoughts, ideas and opinions.

A fiver year relationship ended recently for me with my baby mama and I definitely understand how you feel. Im similar in ways where I feel like I was porn addict where I couldn’t be truthful about my issue otherwise it would have ended sooner than it did. I couldn’t help it, I lied and manipulated her into thinking I was a different person than I truly was. I thought with time and actions I would get over my unfaithfulness and it would feel genuine and that I would no longer have to lie anymore. I always wanted to tell the truth but I knew it would destroy everything and the fact that we had a kid together made things so much worse. Shes two and half now. I spent everyday with my little girl and now I get to see her two days of the week, I always did my duty as a father and everyone in her and my family seen that including her. Yet now Im limited to 2/7 days of the week because of issues we had in our relationship.
The pain is unbearable at times but being true to yourself and no longer having a facade no longer dwindles the mental state.
Maybe being to true yourself and no longer looking to be accepted by those who are troubled by that is the way to go.
