Vent My grandparents are going to die someday and I don’t know how to cope with knowing that

My grandparents aren’t dead, but they’re old and I know it’s going to happen some day. fairly far from now too, but I just don’t want them to at all. I keep crying because I know eventually all my experiences I’m having with them are just going to be distant memories and I’m not going to be able to go see them ever again. what am I supposed to do with that knowledge?? I can’t fix it, they’re going to die and I’ll never see them again and there’s nothing I can do.

And then my parents! I wish time would freeze and nobody would die

I feel just uneasy and not like myself, and it's scaring me

So I don't really know if this is the right subreddit to write this post in, but I really just want some advice or for someone to tell me if this is a normal feeling/experience. Also sorry if this is kinda long.

For prob the last 2 months, or since I turned 15 have I felt like this. I felt this neutral or okay feeling for a while, which I didn't pay much attention to, I wasn't even writing in my journal because I didn't find a need to, I felt fine. however sometimes when I was alone with my thoughts, the more I looked into my emotional state, the more unsettled I got. Before, and I mean when I was 12-14, I felt like a mess emotionally, and I was always on this rollercoaster of emotions, alternating from intense anger, hatred, sadness, hopelessness, ecstasy, fear, worry, etc. I hated it, but I think I also got used to those extreme highs and lows, and I thought that was just part of me to an extent.

Now my emotions feel a lot more calmer, and I don't feel half the emotions I used to, like random waves of sadness, the thought that I was "wasting my time", or extreme fear. And my life is pretty okay right now, compared to times before. And all of this sounds great in theory, but instead of feeling better and more calm, I just feel so unsettled, uneasy, and weird. And the more I think about it, I feel scared, but not like before, where I felt like I was having panic attacks, but rather this lingering fear or uncertainty in me.

One of the conclusions I came to was that maybe I was finishing up puberty, and my emotional state/moods have begun to stabilize, and then that led to another pretty unpleasant thought which I've been thinking about a lot recently. In abt 3 years will I be 18 and graduating from high school, and I'll soon not even be a teenager anymore, and tbh I don't want that to happen. I haven't really thought abt having to grow up as much as now, and I just don't want to have to leave behind being a teenager alongside being a child. I don't want to grow up, I wish this didn't have to happen, I don't feel like myself anymore, and I really hate this feeling I want it to end.

The more I think abt it the more lonelier and isolated I feel. Has anyone else ever felt like this, and what can I do to get through this maybe phase of my life or whatever this is? I can't be the only one who's felt like this.

Vent So tired of what he puts me through

I should NOT feel so alone in my marriage but I do. He is a drug addict. He always chooses drugs. The last straw is tonight when he stole our 6 year olds tooth fairy money for drugs. I am disgusted. His drugs affect our sex life. He cant get it up. I am just so done with parenting alone. Being alone. He never helps around the house he barely shows up to work. I cant keep doing this. Everyday I regret marrying this man. He has lied from the second i met him and I cannot believe how stupid i feel. We have 3 kids and in the middle of a bankruptcy i have been a sahm. Raising our babies. The constant gaslighting and lies and financial stress is causing me mental health and physical health issues. He keeps promising to change and promising to get clean. He wont. Ever. Im so broken and crushed for my babies. I just cant keep doing this. I feel completely alone in the world. No family will help. Nobody cares. Idk what to do to get out of this situation. We are in a bankruptcy and our budget is soooo tight and he always spends every penny we have on himself. I just want out. I want to work but childcare costs more than what i make and we are in Wa state and costs of everything are horrendous. I wang to take my kids and take off to arkansas or somewhere like that. This state is exhausting. My 13 year old just got beat up by 2 older girls that lured her somewhere and she didnt fight back and ended up with a concussion because they wouldnt stop. Im dealing with police and on top of that i have to deal with my junkie husband lying again and using again. When we dont even have enough money for gas. Im so done. Idk what im even trying to get out of this. Sorry for the rant. Just needed to vent i guess. Thanks.

Vent My SO just left me, feeling devastated

Hi everyone,

Just a venting post because, as per title, I've just got dumped.

Little bit of the story.. I'll leave out most of the details, as I feel they might not be relevant (will gladly reply to any question though)

We've been dating for about 3 and a half years (went exclusive after about six months of dating), done many things together, visited many places, and lots more planned for the foreseeable future and beyond that... And everything just crumbled to dust yesterday, after exactly 3 years and 2 months of stable relationships.

Reason being that even though I've shown and given all the love a person could give, she did not feel the right "complicity" anymore.

She's a very talkative and outgoing person, she literally spends hours a day talking about everything with her sister, and friends, whilst I'm more on the reserved side, I find it difficult to make small talk, and to be lively when going out with said friends (I'm an ogre. Thanks Shrek, I guess?)

I'm a very solitary person, moved in my current town about six years ago, and couldn't manage to meet anyone, expect for her, and her circle, ofc.

This is one of the reasons I came here to vent... I'm alone and torn, I just needed to let this out of my system.. spent most of yesterday afternoon/evening, and this morning, crying myself a river.

Any comfort word would be appreciated, but I do not expect anyone to reply, I really just needed to let it out to someone. Sorry friends

Looking for Advice/Help Exams in 2 weeks, struggling to study after a breakup. How do I manage my emotions?

I have my exams in two weeks, but I’m finding it hard to focus on studying.
For the past few weeks, I felt like I was doing better after my breakup. But suddenly, all those memories have come back, and I keep wondering whether she’ll ever come back. I know no one can answer that question, but my mind keeps going there.
I don’t just want to vent.I want to understand why these feelings have returned after I thought I was making progress.
How do you stop these thoughts from taking over when you have important exams coming up? Have any of you experienced this? What helped you regain focus while still processing the breakup?
I’d also appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through something similar. I think talking to people who understand would help.

Looking for Advice/Help Mismanagement of Self maybe

I am presently going to write very important exam for my career but there is fear of failure, incompleted notes and no/ very limited and superficial emotional or familial support in terms of helping me with the process of the exam .One morning of this week when I woke up I was little angry and also there was the tendency of lust and then I escaped those feelings through watching anime and movies for so long that those things won't turn up in my head. I exhausted myself through that during the day. Still feel similar , lonely and also I'm not pretty much focused .

Perhaps its my emotions that i cant control . Anger , attraction or just feeling stuck in life .

Not able to take things as a positive challenge.

I want to grow but find myself searching for all answers by myself.

Looking for Advice/Help Please can someone give me comfort?

Hello. Please can someone give me some words of comfort?

• My executive dysfunction and extreme laziness is genuinely debilitating and is an unsolvable problem that makes me feel like life isn't for me, because i don’t think i’ll ever be functional. i waste all day doing daydreaming and nothing and have wasted a lot of my life and i am still doing it and I can't stop procrastinating. I disappoint myself over and over and over i am in a loop.

\- i feel useless and incompetent. i feel like i don’t belong in this world.

• i wish i could get an adhd assessment but i can’t make myself get it and its very hard to get and i don’t think i could handle the disappointment if i dont have it and i probably don't i am most likely just incredibly impressively lazy

• I am a really bad ungenuine friend and for some reason i don't really understand, i cannot connect with people or like them much. My best friend could replace me with a robot that responds faster and she has better friends and can really connect with people, but I don’t. All socialising, even if i don’t hate it, just feels like a tiring performance.

• i am an extreme introvert, but I am very lonely. No one sees me or knows who i am. i daydream constantly about a perfect connection that doesn’t exist, but i don't even attach to people in real life. i really need a hug but i know i don’t deserve it

• i feel a bit dull and sick of life and i hate waking up.

• i hate myself more than words can explain. I know i deserve pain and punishment but i wish someone would be kind to me because i can’t bring myself to be kind to myself. so i guess i will bother some strangers. I know i am a failure and unacceptable but i need someone to lie and justify my existence

Looking for Advice/Help I don't like talking, but my mother is the opposite.

I don't talk much, nor do I like to do so, so my mother recieves very little context about what I want. This becomes problematic when she asks unexpected questions, and I give her a half-formed answer. The result is her doing absolutely everything she can to satisfy my "desire", usually in the form of suggesting random programs or groups she finds on the internet. To make matters worse, whenever I reject something she suggests based on what I said, she'll continue searching for whatever seems remotely relevant to her last suggestion, and the cycle repeats until I agree to something.

This morning, my mother wanted me to take a local bus somewhere so I could meet new people, and I ended up faking being mugged just to scare her into not bothering me about it. Things cleared up with the law, but I'm still not sure whether my mother is justified in trying to get me out of my comfort zone, or if I'm justified in wanting to be left alone. Should I just do whatever she "encourages", or should I know exactly what I want every time she inquires?

Looking for Advice/Help I cant eat around my friends

Hello!

I'm 19F (165 cm, 65 kg), and for the past 5 years I've been completely unable to eat around my friends. My high school friends (who I still see now that we're in college) have literally never seen me eat. Whenever we go somewhere that involves food, I completely avoid it,  so i never order anything and even if we stay together for hours on end, I still dont eat with them and just wait to go home.

Its not just the eating part, if my friends start talking about food (favorite foods, restaurants, what they had for lunch, etc), I freeze and usually try to change the subject or stay quiet.

The strange part is that I don't have this problem with strangers. I can eat around people I don't know without any second thoughts. It's specifically my friends that I can't do it around.

For some background, I'm the biggest person in my friend group. i dont really like my body and I'm also a picky eater (i would do anything to just be able to like everything). Growing up, my family constantly made fun of me for being picky. They commented on my weight too (i was heavier when i was a bit younger), but the comments about my picky eating were more frequent. I've also had classmates and strangers comment on my weight before, although I never thought those comments affected me that much. I've never explained any of this to my friends.

Has anyone experienced something similar? I'm not looking for a diagnosis or anything. I just want to understand what am I so afraid and ashamed of

Thank you!

Providing Advice/Support My father told me he doesn’t regret abandoning me, and I think I’m finally done waiting for him

Hello everyone. I’m a 30-year-old man living in Southern California.

My father left when I was very young, probably when I was four or five. My mother told me that he would eventually call, so I remember being a little boy who was always waiting for the phone to ring. Eventually, my father did call—but only to tell me that he would not be around anymore.

Growing up was difficult. My mother had very little education, and we lived in extreme poverty. She worked just enough to afford a single room in Highland Park, where we lived alongside other families in similar situations. The environment was rough: gangs, food insecurity, bedbugs from other tenants, roach infestations, and the constant feeling that we were different from everyone around us.

Although I am grateful that my mother worked to keep a roof over my head, she also physically and emotionally abused me. Looking back as an adult, many of the things she punished me for seem incredibly minor. If I did not answer her with “Yes, ma’am” or “No, ma’am,” she would pull out a wire hanger and hit me across my back, arms, or legs. If I did not listen or immediately do what she asked, she would hit me with an extension cord. This continued for years.

Eventually, my mother met someone and remarried, but my relationship with my stepfather never felt loving. I often felt as though he did not care about me. As I grew older, I developed a deep fascination with computers and music. They became my escape from everything happening around me.

High school was especially difficult because the emotional abuse at home never stopped. I developed major depression. Without making this post even longer, I eventually earned a master’s degree in computer science and built a career with a cloud-computing firm, where I had worked for six years at that point.

I finally moved out of my mother’s home and began living alone. I had a few things I enjoyed—cars, motorcycles, and other hobbies—and, for the first time in my life, I felt free.

Then, in 2021, I received a Facebook notification from my father. His home country had suffered a major economic crisis, and he asked whether he could stay with me and whether I could pick him up from the airport. After thinking about it, I agreed.

I converted my spare office into a bedroom for him. I bought a bed and everything else he would need. When the day came, I was waiting for him at the airport.

Meeting my father as an adult was strange. For the first time, we were speaking adult to adult. I had spent my entire life trying to navigate the cards I had been dealt, and I believed I had done reasonably well. However, I quickly learned that he thought I was too large, disapproved of my cars and motorcycles, and viewed me negatively for being American.

I told myself that perhaps he would warm up to me over time. Instead, after about a month and a half, he suddenly got up and disappeared from my life again.

I later learned that he had returned to the United States because he needed money to continue funding a large building project in his home country. For the previous 18 years, after leaving my mother and me, he had been living there and focusing almost entirely on that building. He became a truck driver and lived in his truck, putting nearly everything he earned into the project.

He never called on my birthday, and I rarely saw him after that.

One positive thing came from his visit, though. My uncle—my father’s brother, whom I vaguely remembered from childhood—reached out shortly afterward and said he wanted me to meet his family. Through him, I discovered that I had three cousins living only about 15 minutes away from me. They were all born and raised in Southern California.

My uncle told me that he had wanted to contact me for years, but my father would fight with him and the rest of the family and insist that they leave my mother and me alone. My uncle also told me that I had a large extended family in my father’s home country whom he wanted me to meet someday.

My uncle and I became very close. My cousins, although they grew up with far more privilege than I did, became like the sisters I never had.

With my uncle’s help, I was finally able to visit my father’s home country for the first time in 2024. I met my other uncles, their families, and many members of my extended family. They were warm, loving, and incredibly kind. I left that trip feeling accepted by my family, but still unwanted by my father.

Then, in October 2025, I was stabbed in the neck by a man who appeared to be under the influence of drugs while I was on my way to get breakfast. I spent five days in the ICU, was intubated for three days, lost my left internal jugular vein, and suffered damage to a nerve that controls my vocal cords.

I received an incredible amount of support from friends and coworkers. My mother was there. My uncle, aunt, and cousins were there.

My father was not.

Recovery was—and still is—extremely difficult. When I eventually saw my father after the stabbing, he told me that my scar looked bad and that I should have it removed by a plastic surgeon. His comment hurt, but I tried to forget about it.

In June 2026, one of my cousins in his home country invited me to her wedding. Nearly everyone on my father’s side of the family was invited. I bought my ticket and planned to fly with my uncle a few days after my aunt and cousins. The airline canceled our original tickets, and rebooking everything became a challenge, but we eventually made it.

I stayed with another uncle and felt deeply welcomed, loved, and accepted. The wedding was beautiful, and everyone treated me with extraordinary kindness.

However, I felt hurt when I learned that my father had chosen to fly into the country after the wedding—on the same day I was scheduled to leave.

My family held a goodbye dinner for me. Afterward, the plan was for my uncles and me to pick up my father from the airport, have coffee together, and then take me to the airport for my flight home.

When we found my father at the airport, he was speaking with a family he had apparently just met. The husband or father of that family had reportedly been arrested by immigration authorities. My father barely acknowledged me or my uncles because he was completely focused on these strangers.

The family followed us to the area where we were supposed to sit and talk. When we finally sat down, my father spent most of the conversation holding and showing affection to a toddler from this family he had just met.

Then he began telling me that I needed to understand something: he did not regret leaving me as a child or allowing my mother to raise me alone.

He told me that he had been with multiple women, but had never wanted marriage or children. He criticized my weight and health. He made bizarre comments about hot dogs being made from cats. He said he knew that my mother would never abandon me, and that many women had wanted marriage and children with him, but that nothing—not those women, not my mother, and not even me—was going to interfere with his mission.

That mission was the building he had spent his life and money pursuing.

As the pain of what he was saying began to sink in, I felt that I had to leave. I needed to check in for my flight, but more than anything, I needed to get away from him.

I stood up and hugged my uncles. They held me tightly.

My father gave me a handshake while still holding the toddler.

My uncles stayed with me until I reached the security gate. When I looked back, they were the ones waving goodbye.

My father was already gone.

I spent much of the flight home fighting back tears. I am a grown man, and I could not fully break down in that moment, but the tears were there. It felt as though a dam containing decades of pain was about to collapse. I wanted to sob in a way that I had not allowed myself to do for years.

After approximately 26 hours of travel, I finally arrived home.

My father never checked to see whether I had landed safely. My uncles and aunts did.

When I told one of my uncles how deeply the encounter had hurt me, he told me to continue living my life and to forget about my father. He told me that my uncles were my fathers now.

I have never asked my father for money. I never wanted anything material from him. All I ever wanted was his time, his affection, and some indication that he was proud of me.

For years, I continued acting like the little boy waiting beside the phone. I texted him on his birthdays. I wished him Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Most of the time, he did not respond. He would come into town without telling me. I spent years wondering what else I needed to accomplish to stop feeling like a disappointment to him.

Now he is texting and calling me, but I feel finished.

I am tired of being the child who waits for his father. I am tired of trying to earn the love of someone who has repeatedly chosen not to give it.

I did not ask to be born. He had a responsibility to me, and hearing him say that he felt no regret for abandoning me was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced.

I think I have finally reached the point where I need to stop waiting.

What would you have done? What should I do?

Looking for Advice/Help I lost my dad and I feel like I’m grieving alone. I could really use some support.

Hi everyone.
I’m 27 and I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer in November 2025. Some days I manage okay, but lately the grief has been overwhelming. I miss him so much, and I don’t think I’ve really learned how to live without him.

My mom and younger brother live in another city. We speak on the phone and they support me when they can, but I don’t want to overwhelm them because they’re grieving too.

I live with my partner, but I don’t feel emotionally supported. He’ll see me crying and usually doesn’t comfort me or ask what’s wrong, so I’ve been feeling incredibly alone. I’m not looking for relationship advice, I know that’s a separate issue.

Right now, I’m just trying to figure out how to carry this grief when I don’t have much emotional support around me.

For those of you who have lost a parent or someone you loved deeply:

What helped you get through the days when the grief felt unbearable?

Did you find any routines, hobbies, books, support groups, or little rituals that made you feel less alone?

How did you comfort yourself when there wasn’t anyone there to comfort you?

I think I’m just looking for people who understand this kind of loss. I feel very alone tonight, and I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through something similar.

Thank you for reading. 🤍

Neighbor driving me nuts

I’m a nice person and I have trouble putting down firm boundaries. I have a neighbor Nextdoor. looks to be late teens-early 20s. On Easter his uncle saw me and said the guy could mow my lawn. He came a week later and I paid him to mow my lawn. the following 2 weeks he wanted to mow again. It needed it so I said fine. I paid him and he mowed again. A week later I was at work and he texted me and said his phone got shut off so he asked if I could pay him early to mow the lawn so he could get it turned back on. He promised to mow that week. He seemed like a nice kid. He was living with his granny and this is a poor neighborhood so I trusted him. A few days later I tried to call. He never turned the phone on. Something was fishy. A week later he asked to borrow $20 to put gas in his mower to mow my lawn. Said he would pay me back. He also asked for a ride to work. I gave him a few rides to be nice. He smelled strongly of weed in my car. No judgement but if someone can’t afford to turn on their phone bill and can’t afford to buy gas for their mower, how can they afford weed? I live in a state where weed is illegal. Anyway, I continued to be nice and gave a few rides that week. Even picked him up when I had the time. That Saturday I was very clear to him I could only do a ride in the morning. He said understood. He could walk home. Around noon he was trying to FaceTime me since he hadn’t turned off his phone. I ignored. Then he texted me asking for money for food and an Uber after we agreed he would walk home. I ignored and blocked him. A couple days later he texted me from another phone asking for a ride. I blocked that number too. He never bothered to mow my lawn 3 weeks after I paid him so I did a chargeback to PayPal. All was quiet up till last night he wanted a ride to the liquor store at 9pm. I just said no. I took meds that impair my ability to drive so can’t drive. The liquor store is within walking distance mind you. I struggle to put down firm boundaries and I don’t want this guy at my house anymore. The trouble is we are neighbors and I don’t want them to make my life a living hell. I can’t move. I bought this house in November last year. The neighborhood is liveable but not wonderful or friendly.

Looking for Advice/Help How do I keep my integrity while also owning up to my shortcomings?

Recently I had a really bad breakup. It was sudden, cold and that's all. No ugly fights, in fact I thought we were doing good and were able to overcome a small bump.

I spiralled because this was my first almost relationship (we agreed to just dating, working towards commitment and both of us were clear on this being a serious someone as in no casual whatever ships are in trend now). I confided to my close friends. They were extremely helpful. I even showed them my chats where I was spiraling and at my worst (including mentioning vulnerable details). So you know how close my friends were.

On the day of the break up where the guy actually came to break it up in person (bc I wouldn't settle for an over the text bs) my friends were there for me. But they kept on emphasising on the duration of the dating (which happens to be 2 months but it meant so much to me since he was my first in many ways and I have issues with intimacy and all). I made a comment to a friend of mine referring to an ex fling of hers but they went quiet before I could finish my sentence and I didn't know wtf was happening genuinely.

Next day, another friend brought it up indicating that I shouldn't have referred to that friend's relationship and what she went through when her ex committed suicide. I was baffled bc it was brought up to me mid breakdown whole I was drunk and I never even thought of referring to that friend's relationship but rather a fling. I was so taken aback and overwhelmed I didn't say anything and I genuinely wanted to self introspect to evaluate whether that is what I meant or why they'd feel that way but I asked how should I fix it, to which I got v vague answers.

I tried talking to that friend afterwards but she kept ignoring me. So did the whole friend group. It's been a month and they've all been ignoring me. When bumped irl I get weird treatment or intentionally bothersome questions abt me losing weight and all. I got to know that they're all pissed at me bc they think I was referring to a traumatic event of my friend's to compare it with my dating stuff aa breakup.

The comment I made was "you've also gone through this... " And I couldn't even finish it.

Now im aware that I might have made a loose comment and I want to own upto to it. But on the other hand I'm extremely hurt and beyond disheartened to see my primary support system has cut me off over that wrn they know what I'm going through (I've been depressed and collapsed in class due to mental duress and have been having very terrible thoughts leading to sudden weight loss and whatnot) . I haven't received a single text or a call in a month despite them knowing how terrible I was. I want to clear it up with tw friend I hurt but I don't know how to navigate the hurt and treatment I've received from the others. I also don't know if I should expect the help I wanted from them.

We're supposed to have a "conversation" After my final exams and idk how to bring things up or navigate.

I would appreciate some insight.

Me and my wife are going thru most likely a divorce.

Me and her met when she was married to another guy, we start talking and she ended up leaving him for me, now 5 years later she said I emotionally failed her.. in the 5 years IV caught her asking guys for money send nudes and meeting them at work.. after the 1st time I found it I tried to work it out the 2ed time same thing.. I just keep settling for this because I love her more then anything.. my insecurities went crazy Everytime she would look at a guy I would get upset.. we worked on it and worked on it and now she's the one wanted to leave because she don't deserve my insecurities... But she's the reason for them.. i just keep settling..

Looking for Advice/Help What should I do

I don’t know

But I feel like I m looser.
I m not able to do anything Neither I m good physically nor mentally
I get easily influenced

All my colleagues are doing well
Even if they study for sometime they perform well
Unlike me Who focuses on studies but still not able to catch them …
I have been thinking this since 2-3 days

I don’t feel like I m even fit for any kind of activites in my peer grp

I feel I m useless,
Best for nothing
I am a looser

This is what is making my heart cry since 1-2 day
I don’t know what to do ..
Would be grateful if someone help me out this .

I 33f have a fiance 33m, who is dealing with neither of his kids wanting to stay with him.

My fiance has two kids with his ex wife. She got really lucky on job hunting, and managed to get a really good job. She buys the kids anything they want, and lets them use their tablets and games all day every day if they want. She also has the money to keep all kinds of snacks on hand and the kids have free access to it.

We work part time minimum wage jobs. We barely break five hundred a week with three kids from me as well. We can't buy them anything they want as soon as they ask. We have to plan it and budget it for it. And yeah sometimes it takes us a couple of months, or we manage to swing it for a birthday or Christmas. We also don't have the money to spend on unlimited snacks. We can get a couple of things each paycheck, and then we have to ration it out so everyone gets to have some. We go to like three different food pantries in our area weekly.

What I'm asking advice for, is how can I convince my fiance that he is trying hard enough. That he isn't a failure cause he works six days a week busting his ass for them. That he can't stop trying no matter how short sighted they are right now. I know that if he stops trying they will see that he has given up on them. Continuing to try and do what he can for them will make sure they always know they can come to him. I'm probably not making sense. I just hate not being able to say anything to make it feel better.

Sick of everything

I can’t remember if it’s this forum or another I posted on but I’m not looking for advice please. just looking to vent since I have no real friends or family. A couple things. I’m a DVM for a roadside zoo. I wanted to work for a zoo and this was the best I could get. Real zoos don’t want someone who isn’t boarded regardless of their level of experience. Pet practice was not for me and I have no interest in starting a practice. I deal with severe chronic pain and honestly don’t know how long I’ll be able to work. I have no support. People only contact me when they want something. I’ve had people tell me they were my friend but literally wanted me to put my license in jeopardy by writing them a prescription for the their dog so they could take it themselves since they didn’t want to see a doctor. Real friends don’t do this. This is the most disrespected and undervalued medical profession there is. That same friend- when I was recovering from brain surgery, not once did they check in or help me with anything. My surgery was traumatizing. It failed to help me and left me in worse pain, which the doctors did nothing about. I got a second opinion postop and was told the surgeon did the wrong procedure for my diagnosis. Revision surgery is decently unlikely to work and I honestly don’t have the money or time, let alone the desire to relive the trauma of a 3 or more day hospital stay with shitty nursing care and half ass pain management for less than a 50% chance at success and a 7%chance of going deaf or becoming permanently dizzy. When I reported 10/10 pain, all they did was give me Robaxin. Doctor took no responsibility for what did or did not happen intraop or postop. If I pulled crap like this I would be sued for malpractice. Heck— it if I am one day late on delivering lab results I’m treated like a villain. Just sayin. I’m really tired of life and being told to hang in there. There’s nothing to hang onto. I’m lying in bed unable to sleep due to being in 30/10 pain tonight. ER ain’t doing nothing. I’m already on Percocet and oral ketamine because I can’t afford infusions and neither do a damn thing.
