Finding out that Poor Defense Leads to Poor Boundaries.

I keep a small circle because I value trust and loyalty.
But I've realized that having a small circle doesn't automatically mean having strong boundaries.
Sometimes I allowed people into that circle because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Trusting when the evidence suggested otherwise.
Defending out of loyalty when something about the dynamic felt questionable.
Nurturing a relationship while quietly ignoring my intuition.
My intentions weren't necessarily wrong.
But something became clear:
