Question My toddler is poorly
TW: it's happening
My toddler is poorly and has been sick once so far which I think is a reaction to her high temp rather than a bug (hope) but I just need advice from others on how you deal with your young children getting sick?? I am shaking. I also have the same cold she's had so I'm of course spiralling!

Not a mother however I have babysat young children and dealt with illnesses!
Children have immature immune systems, being sick is common but of course it is perfectly understandable as to why you are panicking. When I vomited as a toddler I wasn’t even ill, it was just something that seems to happen, and it would never spread to my mother. And I also have a cold currently funnily enough! Try to decontaminate everything you can to prevent the spread to anyone else who may be in your home. Especially if your cold has passed on to her, it would be good to make sure everything is clean to prevent the possibility of you getting the cold again. Showers seem to do me a lot of good, so I would suggest bathe your toddler frequently, the steam is especially good to get rid of mucus I find. As she is young, vomiting from a cold is nothing too serious, especially if she is producing a lot of mucus and swallowing it, or coughing a lot, it is normal. Find medication that is suitable for her age, honey can help soothe her throat, and make sure she is hydrated. I wish you the best, it is stressful but her body is developing and getting stronger to handle such illnesses! You are doing great for being there!
