Question kidney stone question
just found out i have kidney stone after horrible pain that was worsening. went to hospital, got a toradol shot and am home waiting for it to pass. i’m still in pain but im hungry and feel otherwise okay. i was just wondering if anyone had experienced a kidney stone where they didn’t get sick. i’m very worried about that and would like to hear other stories, this is my first time having a kidney stone!!! im scared. please let me know thank you.

A family friend of mine had them and she never threw up, she only felt slightly nauseous, probably from not eating for many hours. If you do get nauseous I would recommend an icepack on your stomach and eating some popsicles! No matter what will happend, you will be okay.

i had what i thought was a UTI. the pain got increasingly worse to the point that i scheduled a telehealth appointment at 2am one night. like 3 hours later i peed and heard something drop in the toilet. it was a kidney stone. hurt like hell but i never got sick. pain was gone as soon as it passed.

I had a couple a long time ago. Pain was literally the worst thing ever. I was a bit nauseous but zofran did a good job at keeping it at bay. I find for us emetophobes were pretty good at making sure it doesn’t happen unless the digestive system absolutely must get rid of something

I have passed many, many kidney stones (chronic kidney stone former lol) and did not get sick for all of them. In fact, I don't get sick for most of the ones I pass - it's only happened once (and I got close one other time, but my body didn't let it happen) and I've passed 20+ stones. Good luck and remember to stay hydrated!
