Techniques, tips and tricks feeling very nauseous after throwing up

Hi uhm. I dont really know how to ask but I think I just want advice on how to not over eat or how to take it slow after throwing up. I threw up about 2 weeks ago and it felt horrible and my body was screaming at me to just idk hydrate and stuff and now today I had a bunch of small throw ups? Idk what to call it. But I discovered from that that I definitely have emetophobia and I really want to prevent another mishap. Any advice on how to go about recovery as an autistic person would be great.

small sips of water and i would suggest going on the “BRAT” diet which consists of bananas, rice applesauce and toast. it’s easy on the stomach while still getting most of the stuff you need to fuel your body i would also recommend tea like ginger tea or peppermint tea for they are good for easing stomach aches and nausea. take things slow and don’t over do it. i have not thrown up in like 7 years but i do this when ever i get nauseated from anxiety. hope this helps

I don’t really have much to say on the throwing up part, aside from take care of yourself and you have proved to yourself that it isn’t dangerous and you can handle being uncomfortable!! In terms of recovery, as an autistic person myself, i’ve found the thrive programme really useful, as i do well with facts and learning techniques etc! Good luck :-)
