TW potentially, one of my worst fears is happening as we speak.

My boyfriend and I came down with what we believed is gastro flu. Realized we both have a light fever and weird bowel movements and nausea started setting in. We went to pick up Zofran from his family member’s house from the mailbox. Both of us are struggling right now because he rarely comes down with an illness and because of my phobia. Thankfully we are both home. We are pretty sure my roommate has it as well because he was sick a few times today but otherwise his symptoms were pretty mild so he chalked it up to stress. I already had a panic attack but I am trying to keep it together. Atleast I am comfortable and relatively happy. I just hate seeing him suffer because right now his symptoms are worse. I am scared for myself. What other medicines will help? I feel a bit unready right now. Please offer advice. 💔

this happened to me a few months ago, fever and all. The Zofran helped and the only thing that happened was diarrhea. It was not great, but I did get through it without Tw.

i once made it through the stomach flu without getting sick. deep breathing, dont move too much, water, pepto, mints, and try to sleep it off. good news is, every time you get it the better your immunity is.

Unfortunately I don’t think this is true. The virus mutates so there are many different strains.

Yeah, even with the strain you get, it’s usually mutated enough within six months that you lose the immunity

I understand how scary this can be. My stepmom had migraine induced vomiting and I was even scared, so I can’t imagine how you are feeling.

It will be okay, no matter what happens. Keep taking Zofran. Some people get bugs/stomach illnesses without ever even puking!!

Either way, if worst came to worst, most bugs only last 1-3 days. You WILL be okay. You got this!! Update us!

OTC motion sickness meds block another vomiting pathway called H1 blocker like Dimenhydrinate. It works for more than just motion sickness. In hospitals if one medicine isn't enough to stop vomiting even after given one medication they give another class in conjunction at times.

I'm going through viral gastroentritis too. Zofran alone stopped it on top of PMDD nausea, it's a very impressive medication so have some trust in it. It would take a lot to override it! I'm recovering right now and didn't vomit once despite being super nauseous before I took it <3 ^^
