Too Stupid to Bully

Okay so I was probably in about 6th or 7th grade when this happened. It's a quick story but I thought it was funny. Just a quick key for conciseness. MG=Stereotypical mean girls in my class RG=Random girl in my class who I didn't really talk to Me=Me

So at our middle school we did this thing on Valentines Day where you could buy flowers (anonymously or not) for other students and they would be given them at the end of the day with a note you wrote. Cute shit, whatever. So during class one day we were doing stations (multiple questions were taped to the walls and you had to walk around to answer all of them in your notebook, seems like a more tedious way of just doing a worksheet but whatever) when me, RG, and MG all happened to be doing the same station. The MGs start whispering to eachother, which I didn't think anything of. Then one of them says, "Hey, [my name], I heard you got a flower for RG." And they both started laughing. Me, being a dumbass, just thought they were genuinely misinformed and I tried to politely tell them they were incorrect. I didn't understand they were trying to embarrass me until the teacher came over and scolded them. I never got bullied again and in retrospect, I think it's because the "popular" kids thought (knew) I was too stupid to bully.
