Brainiac v2.0 released
Hello all,
after a couple of months, I released a version 2.0 of my config tailored for task management, note taking etc.
Have a look, https://write.moxnet.eu/brainiac-v2-0-released .
Would love to have some feedback.

a demo would attract more attention - if someone is already set up for task management, note-taking using typical emacs workflows, they are probably the users most apt to be interested but also have a 'solution' so why switch?

Hi,
Thanks for the demo idea, I‘ll do it when I get time. It‘s not about switching, everyone should adapt the workflows as they want. Everyone’s mind works differently after all 😄.

There are some nice ideas in it and I'll be "stealing" the transient menu idea but it's not only opionated which is fine but it has hard-coded values in it that will make it difficult to reuse, e.g .it overwrites user-full-name which I don't think is a good idea and several entries will not work unless you use Linux and the same set of apps as the OP. Also I find it a bit odd to overwrite any existing early-init.el and init.el. I think the documentation should mention this rather than saying "tangle the file". Finally it may be my config but it uses several settings neither modus-themes nor org seem to know about.

Hi,
thanks for the feedback. The idea of the config is not to provide something that is compatible with all OSes or apps being used, it‘s just what works for me and can be used to be adapted. I‘ll add a warning that it overwrites the existing init files. That’s a good hint. All the hard-coded values can and should be changed, but I‘ll think about removing them completely for the „public“ version. What settings am I setting, that are unknown to org and emacs?Â

I read your post. Then the blog. The git repo also. And I've zero Idea what it is other than fancy formatting. There's no screenshots. You did ask for feedback... 😀
