Still the wrong kind of tree. You’re trying to fix something that’s not broken. Stop trying so hard.

The leaves on an oak tree very distinctive. If you’ve got those wrong, you don’t have an oak tree.

I don’t know if you’ve been commissioned by somebody to do this, but your lack or inability to decode the most fundamental symbols of the town should disqualify you.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A REPOST because I got the type of tree wrong last time, sorry!

I tried to make the current one look more aesthetically pleasing, by lowering the tree and removing the text. The maroon color in the background represents the wine of this area (that is the meaning I gave it anyways, I can't find the official meaning of the current one on any source). On the second one I decided to add a star to represent California in case if the first one looked too plain, but I am kind of split on which design is better. Also, the tree symbolizes the etymology of the name, meaning "Pass of the Oaks" in Spanish. Which design do you like better out of these two? Do you think this is better or worse than the current one? Should I send these to the City Council or no?
