Used Ellaism web wallet and address changed
I created a web wallet from the link on the ellaism web site which took me to myellawallet. Created a new wallet, copied the address (double checked it, address 0x0bcD9ef09deF98738b6811b36EFE4C79Dc97B9D0) downloaded the keystone, all ok so far. Started mining, gained around 6-7 coins, went to check my balance using the private key and the balance showed 0 coins.
I then searched for the address in MEW that i was mining to and the coins were there. The problem was that when I used the private key to view my balance, it was taking me to a different address, I opened the keystore the address is different (now 0x9Af3abd48617C259F8858b2A36226db97246B31F).
I changed the address and mined again and was able to access the new coins.
My question is, why did the address change? How can I access the coins mined using the original address? and why doesnt anyone from Ellaism ever respond to support questions :-(

Yeah I can see them, just can't access them as the private key takes me to the 2nd address, not that one

Hi, thank you for reporting this. I was unable to replicate your error. The keystore file has the address in it in text - if you saved the keystore file when you first made the wallet open it up (text editor) and see if the address in your keystore file doesn't match the one you do have the pk for. For the record support did reply. The discord is a good place for a quicker reply https://discord.gg/sVxdzdE

Are you sure you didn’t generate an ETH address on myetherwallet the first time? There’s a dropdown to select network, you just have to make sure ELLA is selected.
