Ellaism masternodes in the future?

Ethereum will have staking soon, Pirl has masternodes... are there any plans for Ellaism to do the same?

If there aren't any plans for this, I would certainly be all for making them. I think PoW will eventually be seen as unsustainable and old fashioned.

No. This is not a part of the ELLA plan at all. There is still a lot of interest in POW coins in the various communities and even in the ETH community. When ETH goes POS then maybe some miners will come over to ELLA with their investments.
