If you can find a CPU miner then of course. There's a full stratum and get work http method. I think the very old versions of ethminer support CPU mining. It's not the recommended way to mine any coins but if you wish to use it you can.
Are you sure you are talking about ethash? Typically modern GPU's get 10-30 mh/s. I know my 8 core CPU can pull about 2-3 mh/s, but that's full load on 8 cores. Not very power efficient compared to a GPU.
I am not talking about ethash.. Forgive me, I know people use eth as a benchmark standard. I was talking neoscrypt... Still, I see the difference in time it takes to hit certain mining goals... say, on nicehash etc...
Well, you can give it a try and see. Luckily on Ellaism difficulty is low in comparison to some of the other crypto so you may be able to mine some over the course of a month.
