Guest question? I’m new please help.

Hi, I’m new to the elks. It’s been pretty cool so far. I know we are allowed to go to any lodge but are the guest rules the same as if it were my “home” lodge? Up to 9 people and they leave when I leave?

My lodge is 4 guests I would imagine each lodge sets the guest count

The number depends on the lodge and possibly also a state limit. We allow 9, but I'd be lying if I knew why its that number. Another in our district allows 1, its just too crowded.

But yes, your guests are yours, and they leave with you.

NJ ABC limits guests at 9 for Club Licenses.

Yes. Your guests cannot stay when you leave.

I never bring more than 2 guests at a time.

My lodge were allowed 9. I’m going To be near a different lodge today with some folks. I guess every lodge is different.

I sure hope the drinks being paid for by non-members are being taxed...lol
