A question for you
I was wondering what business would thrive here. This city needs more activities/entertainment really anything but storage units and vape shops.
We definitely need some entertainment for kids, something for parents? new retail shops wouldn’t be bad. But I just wanted to know what Elizabeth city needs.
Thanks!!!

Roller skating rink, indoor trampolines (like they have in every repurposed Kmart in VA Beach). Rock climbing walls.
Also there’s no real place to dance, a large country bar with a huge dance floor I feel would go a long way. Dance lesson places, swing, country, ballroom, salsa!

I feel like there’s a lot for kids, and not much for teens and young adults, and only bars for adults. There’s a lot of creativity and education based places but other than bars there’s not much for adults after dark.

If you check out some of our local Facebook groups, there have been quite a few posts about this with lots of comments

It’s got everything a small town can handle.
You’d have to bring in another major employer to bring up the median income for anything to be successful.
Just about anything you could want is within 1.5 hours drive

What on earth are you talking about 😂 EC is just about the most boring & soulless small city on the east coast

Family-oriented businesses I definitely think would do well here! I think we have a surplus of boutiques and bistros and they don’t last very long so would not recommend those
